I have been speaking about this fuel matter since 28th February, and whatever is happening is not an emergency to Kenya; Kenya knew we would be in this kind of situation from 28th February. By the time EPRA sent, they were still consulting late into the night, and the government had not made up its mind on what would be the pump prices in Kenya. Kenya must do away with the Ksh 7 fuel levy that was done by the government in 2024 #JKLive

KENYA IN FIGURES: Based on CBK data and other GoK data sources, Kenya borrowed Ksh 1Trillion in the last 8 Months. Meaning we are borrowing between Ksh 3.5Bn to 4Bn per Day. This is new debt or net debt excluding refinancing or debt borrowed to pay other debts. In August, the ordinary revenues (taxes) collected was Ksh 157Bn. In the same Month, Ksh 120Bn went into payment of interest rates. 76% of revenues went into interest rate repayment. All these excludes Debt backed by revenues like Securitisation, Talanta Bond or PPPs. Jioni njema Wadosi. We are African and Africa is our Business.
