How did he save money if he spent $500k on just the printing machine? I’m sure there was about another $100k of additional cost for materials and labor. This design also doesn’t use rebar but I did see some shot of thin steel but I don’t know if that is strong enough.

Houses nowadays are built with so cheap materials that won’t even last as long as those houses built in the 1800s. Back then they made sure to use the best quality to keep the properties for long term

I'd embed the concrete with polystyrene foam pellets before the printing. That would solve a lot of the problems with concrete (sound travels through it easier than air and it is a very poor insulator) while also making it lighter and cheaper per square yard.

I would rather not recommend that.
