Yes. They are supposed to call tsa or law enforcement to check. Super common. I keep all Of my firearm declaration tags. Last time I flew was from NY and I beleive Port Authority officers came and checked.

No, but I got stuck behind someone who was going to Mexico with a bunch of rifles to go hunting and it was a pain in the ass waiting for him. If I didn’t know better I would think the man was about to take on the cartel.
