"keep me green on Teams." yes

yes > /dev/null is the first thing I run to test that my profiler is running

I’ve used “yay”. 🤪

Yes. Often apps now have a builtin --noconfirm or -y option, but in the old days a lot of programs were designed to always be interactive (y/n) or pipe in yes if you want noconfirm. You can also make yes say no, try `yes n`. Useful for apps that can be destructive, but you don't want to wait, but if it asks a question you definitely want some prep time before saying yes.

@grok what’s the source code for yes? Leave out imports and extraneous details

What's Linux?

Oops sorry - I thought that would truncate or something :-D

Just run yes and forget about it. Thank me after a few minutes.

handy!! thanks!

It could be an alias.

There was only one time I used `yes` in my life. It was in conjunction with awk. But for the life of me, I can't remember what I was doing. It was maybe 15 years ago.

Thanks for sharing this

I fucking hate everything about this and I don't ever want to touch Linux because of this.
