Gavrilo Princip was a 17 year old kid who was a member of Young Bosnia Organisation. The Organisation was formed to announce independence after the Young Turk Revolution finally ended the Ottoman rule in 1910. However - as soon as the Turks started withdrawing from the Balkans - guess who had their eyes on Bosnia? The Austro-Hungarian Empire. So France Ferdinand with his wife Sofia decided to parade in Sarajevo to show military force to anyone who had an idea about independence. Young Bosnian Serbs sought unification with Serbia and opposed any new oppression. Historical fact is that Gavrilo Princip has never shot from the gun before. He got a gun and when the convoy rerouted their parade towards where he was standing - he just pointed and shot the Austro-Hungarian Emperor killing him instantly. You should watch a masterpiece movie called “I defended Gavrilo Princip” - it is historically accurate account of what triggered WW1. In reality, Germany was getting ready to concur the world and it was just the trigger that sparked the Great war already in the works. Whoever this guest may be - he has no clue what he’s talking about.
