Have you stopped playing Fortnite as much due to the persistent skill based match making issue? Have you completely stopped playing specifically because of SBMM? It has felt non-existent since the bug season in chapter 6. It felt perfect in Chapter 5. What happened? A LOT of people are playing less or have given up the game completely because they will literally go hundreds of games without being able to get a victory. We the common player want a challenge but also we want to feel like we have a chance. Yes this is a skill issue. I am not good enough to be in the vast majority of lobbies I am put in with Fortnite. I love this game and it breaks my heart to see people leave because of something that could be easily fixed. I look forward to hearing your response.show more

I'll be honest... your decision-making in these clips is pretty bad. Your aim is even worse... How do you expect Epic to balance this? This is who you lost a point-blank 1v1 to in one of your clips...

The way you play doesn’t match your skill level. Every single clip you are wkey’ing the fight but then your aim/fighting is poor. I think you just need to play these fights/games different. You could easily win a game in this lobby if you switched up your play style

I get into the lobbies of some of the best ZB players in existence right now (not sure why SBMM thinks I belong there), and while I don’t mind having to sweat it out solo, the real bummer for me is duos/trios/squads. I would love to be able to play with some of my super casual friends who maybe only have and hour or two a week to play, but it’s impossible. It’s a hard reality when you’re trying to chill with your friends and end up fighting the damn Avengers. That’s what disappoints me.

I doubt @JustTeddii will respond, I don't understand the silence when it comes to this. More casuals playing will also mean more things bought in the shop/ more players on the servers so I don't understand why they keep neglecting casuals from enjoying their game.

SBMM worked for my squad well until the Dec 9th change. It was fair for us. Every once in awhile we would come up against an insane team but overall it was good. Since then it’s insane. One of my squad members was an everyday player and he went down to once a week and then quit.

I’ve gotten into games where it feels like everyone but me is sweaty and I never had this issue before, it’s insane. Feels like no loadout works. Some matches are fine and I thankfully won a match after 5 games, but still. Some of them are BAD. I’m a casual player, so it makes it even worse for me when I just play to have a casual experience and I feel like I’ve been thrown into a tournament-level game.

I agree. I'm a decent player. Sometimes I get in the mix with absolute monsters. I go for streaks where I can barley land and grab a weapon before I'm back in the lobby. I just get run over. Then I feel like it lets up on me and the matchmaker gives me a few decent rounds.

I have been playing since Chapter 1 Season 4... and I STILL suck... so it doesn't make any difference to me either way. 🤣

I've mainly lost interest since they discontinued Team Rumble. That was a perfect casual player mode. It allowed us to quest and explore the new maps and get comfy with the weapons, all without having the stress of being sweated on every match.

Ive been having a blast. Sbmm has put me in the most fair matches of any season, got a solo victory royale already. Are u not taking advantage of new movement items and rifts? Why are so many having such a tough time this season??

Hate to say it but these are not "FNCS" players these are some of the worst players i have seen (as a comp player) and i know you dont want to hear this but you are litteraly the worst tier of player in the game so while yes there are people significant better then you who shouldnt be in here your also dieing to a lot of really bad players that are your skill level and not just bots, i dont think you realize the people your skill level can litteraly be confused with bots how bad they are.

I win a decent amount of time but I would say the problem is people using aimbot. You have people shooting a machine gun with no recoil at you from a mountain and people snapping onto you in unnatural ways. I’ve even seen people lock onto where my body was after disappearing.

Look at this, my friend. This new "Rivalries" system in Fortnite has only exposed how broken the matchmaking is. How does someone with 90 points end up in a match with players who have over 800? That's not balancing, it's a mess. Casual players are just getting frustrated.

I’m fine with it but I’m also the best player in my usual group. The issue is that it makes it near impossible for them to have fun playing with me. Forget trying to bring in new players or playing with your kids. They’ll instantly hate the game.

Dec 9th is when it changed. I play with family mostly and the are of varying skill. It's very difficult to not get quickly destroyed. It's clear they are silo-ing everyone to play with teammates of similar skill level. Also, its impossible to play with a new player to teach them.

It's fine if this is the way they go for solos, but for groups it needs to be looked at. Can't enjoy the game nearly as much with friends at the moment as we are all different skill levels, paired up against 4 superhero skin sweat squads all the time is tiring.

I think what you’re noticing is playing solos with less bots than usual. There’s not a lot Epic can possibly do about SBMM here without flooding your lobbies with bots. If you actually watch the fights you’re making bad decisions and whiffing shots for no reason. Not SBMMs fault

Yes, SBMM has been busted for a while. I am an extremely consistent player (almost always in end game, top 2-3 most games). So Fortnite thinks I’m skilled. But I’m a casual player mom on ps5 controller who doesn’t have the same reflexes and aim as the demons I’m paired against 😩

I will never be good at the game. I play with my kids & they ABSOLUTELY carry me. With this sbmm I am always the first to die & usually have at least 1 revive a game. If it was just me there wouldn't be a chance to win. & now the bots can even crack me occasionally.

Idk if this is your game play but other than bot lobbies im not sure what else is gonna help. These players your fighting look like 12 year olds playing after homework 2 or 3 hrs a week not FNCS pros. Not trying to be mean what so ever. Theres always gonna be someone whos better

I have stopped playing fortnite as often, and i can honestly say it's because of SBMM. When I do it is either Duos or Trios, or my trio playing Squads in blitz.

Your saying so good but the ppl that are so good are just people with basic building I mastered in my first week of the game
