@PracticalTAS @circumark994 It is a C^ bounce yeah, in short high speed makes Mario collide with the wall (not oob) of the step, so even though surface snap-up happened it puts you in push state (hug if parallel enough wallslide)

@PracticalTAS @FabioPlush @circumark994 I'm pretty sure you did a C-Up wall bounce. If you have a lot of speed, hug a wall and press C-Up, you keep your speed and you bounce off said wall. You were in the stairs' wall hitbox (under floor hitbox) which is why you were in the hugging animation which is why this worked.
