In Florida, hospital consolidation is driving up costs. Off-campus outpatient facilities are charging full hospital rates for care that looks no different than a regular doctor’s office. I pressed hospital executives at the Ways and Means Committee Hearing on why patients are being charged more with no meaningful difference in care… We need real transparency and lower costs for Florida families.
