The UFC needs Conor McGregor now more than ever, and they have to do everything in their power to make his return happen. It appears everything is trending in the right direction. At this point, I think it’s safe to say that something disastrous would have had to happen if he’s not fighting on July 11. I thought Max Holloway’s comments over the weekend said it all. Max is a very smart guy — I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s trying to tell us something there.

This is very personal and difficult to post. Last month I had a hemorrhagic stroke. A recent MRI has shown 2 growths in my brain. I will be meeting with a neurosurgeon this week and I will be having brain surgery in the coming weeks and will begin a treatment plan. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm scared, but I'm also up for this fight. I love covering Utah High School Sports. It's been an honor since 2005 to be one of the voices of the State. I am going to work to be back for football season. Please don't hesitate to reach out. All positive messages are welcome.

I had to wait for this video to realize what really happened last weekend... A big challenge for me at a complicated time in my life...but i'm very proud of myself... very proud of my mindset 😅. I often had thoughts..why? Why have my country and my people been haunted by enemies and ill-wishers for centuries? Why do they want to conquer it... destroy it... destroy our culture, language, identity. My people have survived a lot: wars, famines and genocides, repressions... and despite all this, they are alive! My people have not lost their spirit to be free. Ukrainians have not lost faith and hope that one day we will be able to live peacefully, happily and calmly on our land, build our future and the future of our children. But even now, russian terrorists, like their ancestors, haunt us... And thinking about this, I remembered a parable that my grandfather once told me. This is very close to an analogy with why Russian terrorists attacked Ukraine and not other countries of the former USSR. Have you ever seen a bird hunter? Then tell me: does a hunter run after a shot bird? No, he’s hunting for others, but he doesn’t touch those that he’s already shot, he knows that they’re already in his hands.” So now, the enemies of “freedom” hunt only those who fly, who strive to be free and live freely. But they do not kill those who are already in their hands. They don’t touch them - they know that they are all already in their hands. Almost all countries of the former USSR remained puppets of russia ("birds" that have already been shot and are in their hands). And only Ukraine, which truly decided to be part of Europe... part of the free and democratic world, became a bone in the throat for the Russian imperialists who want to restore their evil empire. Now it’s Russia. And I say that’s fine, but you would think they’d be very willing to do something to help us, and they really weren’t. In the case of the United Kingdom, the prime minister—I guess he’s no longer there, maybe because of this; it was a very unpopular thing he did—said, “No, we’ll help after the war is over.” I said, “I don’t need that kind of help.” We didn’t need any help at all. All the dead bodies lying around the village had the choice to abandon their homes the very moment the demons broke in to slaughter them. Instead, they fought back with whatever weapons or tools they had, knowing full well that their death was almost certain. The fact that dying in their homeland meant more to them than fleeing for their lives says everything about what Frieren was trying to express in this arc. It’s plain and simple... Home is not a place you run away from, it’s a place you return to. It’s where you lay down your life beside the people you love, defending what matters most against those who have no right to be there. Those villagers chose to protect their homes, their memories, and their way of life rather than become refugees in a world that had already taken so much from them. This part of the story hit me so hard and made me cry for so many reasons. It carries an incredible weight, the quiet, stubborn humanity of people who would rather die free on their own soil than survive by abandoning everything that made their lives meaningful.

I probably wouldn’t even be talking about her. I’d be letting the investigation and the court trial play out. But I definitely wouldn’t be talking to her as if she’s a serious investigator and a good faith actor. These people already know she’s no friend of theirs. She’s been mercilessly mocking them for “not grieving right” and “not acting right.” Nothing they do is going to please her, so why should they try to please an enemy? The enemy who’s going to twist their every word and put their every action or inaction under a microscope so as to interpret it in the least grace-less way possibly? Moreover, unlike Candace, people like Frank are likely actually under a gag order because they’re eye-witnesses. Why would they talk to Candace? Lastly, it’s outrageous to say it’s a betrayal of Charlie for them to not be answering certain questions right now, two months out while an investigation is ongoing and the accused hasn’t even stood trial. Paramedic testimony: When I refused the Covid shot I lost my job because of federal mandates. After already working through the heart of Covid they elected to not allow me to work anymore. These mandates destroyed families, careers, and lives. I would explain to ambulance services why I wouldn’t take it, because I had literally seen it destroy people with my own eyes. Still, they refused to hire me. These services were desperate for staff, short on paramedics, and begging for help. Meanwhile, patients suffered. Long ambulance wait times mean people dying unnecessarily. Yet instead of hiring paramedics who stood their ground, ambulance services and hospitals bowed to federal pressure and money. This wasn’t about public health. It was profit over lives. Innocent people paid the price for greed. Thats not medicine. That is evil. I began working again as a paramedic, after a couple months of being unemployed. At that point they had no choice but to start hiring us. The loss of life was becoming too great, in my opinion. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! So this has been a strange one…After days of prepping to “throw down” one of the great Chapman Family Thanksgiving Feasts Mary Beth is famous for, we both got very sick during the night (I’ll withhold details, but not fun whatsoever!) So with a beautifully set table, a fridge full of tasty goodness, we had to call all the kids and Grandkids this morning to announce…”Thanksgiving has been cancelled!” Ok, not Thanksgiving actually, but our plans to celebrate had to be cancelled, and (a very very sad) Mary Beth & I have spent the better part of the day in bed trying to rest & recover. So while I’m laying there feeling very not Thanksgiving-y, I start to ponder this day through all the different lenses that people may be seeing it through, (dear friends who are facing their first Thanksgiving with an empty chair at the table where their son should’ve been to a family celebrating their first Thanksgiving with their new little boy and all the fun and joy that brings…all the sad, happy, broken stories that we are living in that don’t necessarily match the tv version of a Happy Thanksgiving. Well you know what happens when I ponder…songs happen! So I “rallied” and sat down today to share this one with you. Now, this is where I’m very tempted to insert many disclaimers about how “unfinished” the song is, and how “not great of a performance” it is, or how tomorrow when I’m feeling more like myself I may really second guess this decision, but with all of that as it is, I decided to share this with you all anyway…in hopes that whatever “condition” you find yourself in this Happy Thanksgiving Day, you will find encouragement, hope, and much to be thankful for along with me.
