made this with text to lottie and claude code my workflow: design something in figma or just make a rough draft. then ask claude to animate it you'd be surprised how easy it is to add easings, masks, transforms, text effects and all the motion details you can also ask claude to export it as a gif, mp4, png sequence, resize it in different aspect ratios claude and codex already creates something with taste and if you know what you want to create, this workflow is really useful and btw, it's free

claude design is my all time favorite anthropic drop this year, even more than opus 4.7 its actually really really good at design and the "handoff to claude code" makes it basically copy/paste ui to the actual working product claude design made the entire ui for merl (full video on merl soon)

Hey... so... Claude Code is really good at design?? 👀 This was a ONE SHOT PROMPT. 🤯 We always asked Lovable to build "Design System" pages for our apps and they were always meh. We asked Claude Code to take a swing at it just based on our logo, a font, and brand colors. This is... really, really good for a one-shot prompt.

We’re partnering with Paul Jankura to launch the biggest Protein Design Competition in the world, challenging people around the world to use AI to design new potential drug candidates for diseases that affect millions of lives. The competition will feature five challenges, each focused on a specific disease or biological mechanism. Compared to previous competitions, it will be a big step-up in complexity and scale to push the boundaries of AI-driven protein design. Together with Anthropic, we’re sponsoring over $1 million in experimental validation, making it possible to test more than 5,000 protein designs in our automated lab at no cost to participants. Anthropic is providing an additional $1 million in Claude credits. All experimental results will be published openly on Proteinbase, including designs that didn’t work, so anyone can access the data and build on what we learn. The competition is open to everyone and free to enter. It will feature 3 tracks: - Track 1 is aimed at expert protein designers, with up to 20 teams to be selected. - Track 2 is targeting life science academics and industry researchers. - Track 3 is open to everyone from tech enthusiasts to high-school students. This would have taken me forever without Claude AI I constantly get impressed by how far I can take concepts I had in my head to a functional component in a couple of hours. Normally, I'd spend just that amount of time designing in Figma. Now, I completely skip Figma and go straight to code. Designing in code is back and I love every minute of it.

the more i build Taste 👅, the more i think the future of software design might not involve a canvas. if we’re going to design with language, we need to learn how to speak design to LLMs. so... i just shipped Design Breakdowns in Taste! it shows how LLMs interpret static and motion design, helping you build the vocabulary to describe what’s in your head. my hunch is that a lot of AI design looks like slop because we know what we want to see, but don’t know how to say it to an LLM correctly.

I'm not an engineer, but I rebuilt Savee — the app a million designers use Friday, 5pm. I asked Claude how much work it would take to rebuild our iOS app fully native. It had been sitting on our someday list for years, waiting for a team we didn't have. I stopped waiting and built it myself — a designer with Claude Code, one feature at a time. Claude wrote the Swift; I answered with the feedback designers give: two points left, lighter tint, that corner radius is wrong. Another round. And another. 33 days from the first prompt to live on the App Store. 1,078 prompts. Three releases in the first week. Something changed for designers. The distance between an idea and shipping used to be a team, a budget, and a year. Now it's a conversation. Savee 3.0 is out. It's the app I always wanted us to have 🚀
