004/100 Buttons. A bit of the process on building an animation. When looking at a finished animation or in this example a finished button, it can look quite complex inside the CSS. But when building it, it’s more like a lot of simple steps, one after another. Here I had the idea to make some kind of text animation like the footer logo on the Osmo site. I try to add the base animation with no complex easing, for example transition: translate 0.4s ease. Starting with just moving the one text from bottom to top and the other text to top. Adding a stagger, play around with it. Searching for a way to make it more circular. On the research I found the sin() function inside CSS which can build a more smooth non linear curve for the stagger which creates this circular effect. And step by step adding more complexity like, different easing for hover/hover-out, opacity, 3D transform and more. I use also the sin() function to rotate the letters, so the middle ones are getting more rotated than the outer ones. Another thing which helps is to add a small delay on hover, for example 0.05s or 0.1s, you don’t really see the difference, but when you hover pretty fast on and out it doesn’t get that jumpy. I’m using here GSAP’s SplitText to split every char into spans. And then I’m adding a CSS index variable to every span, starting from the center. SplitText can provide CSS index variables, but you cannot tell it from which direction. For the sin() it’s also important to have a max length, so I add another CSS variable with the max char number on it. Crafting 100 Buttons with Osmo ⏳ Total time: 63h

The Chickenpox Virus Never Left. It May Have Been Slowly Rewiring Your Brain. There is a virus living inside you right now. It has been there since you were small, since the week you were covered in spots and your mother dabbed you with calamine lotion and told you not to scratch, which you did anyway. When the illness passed and you got on with the business of growing up, the virus did not leave. It retreated into your nerve cells, pulled the blanket over its head, and settled in for a very long stay indeed. That virus is varicella-zoster. And it is beginning to look like it may have a considerably larger amount to answer for than one miserable itchy week in childhood. The discovery came about in the way so many important ones do: almost entirely by accident, and in Wales. When health authorities rolled out their shingles vaccine program, they had to draw an eligibility line somewhere. People born before September 2, 1933 were out. People born on or after that date were in. A perfectly arbitrary cutoff, the kind bureaucracies produce routinely, without anyone imagining it might one day illuminate the workings of the aging human brain. And yet. Stanford researchers examined Welsh health records and found that those who received the shingles vaccine were 20 percent less likely to develop dementia over the following seven years. The two groups were otherwise essentially the same people: same education levels, same rates of diabetes and heart disease, same general relationship with healthcare. The only meaningful difference was a notable drop in dementia diagnoses among the vaccinated. They checked Australia. Same pattern. Then England, New Zealand, Canada. Dataset after dataset produced the same strong protective signal. At a certain point, when you keep seeing the same result everywhere you look, it stops resembling coincidence. A follow-up study in Cell found that the vaccine does not merely help prevent dementia in healthy people. Among those who already have it, the vaccinated were nearly 30 percent less likely to die from the disease over nine years, suggesting something closer to a therapeutic effect than a preventive one. Remarkable, for a vaccine designed to prevent a rash. The leading theory is not especially comforting. Varicella-zoster can reactivate quietly, below the threshold of obvious symptoms, causing slow cumulative damage through inflammation, abnormal protein accumulation, and changes to the small blood vessels supplying neural tissue. Those mechanisms overlap uncomfortably with the ones already implicated in Alzheimer’s disease. “In some ways,” one Harvard epidemiologist noted, “we are being lucky.” Lucky is putting it mildly. Dementia affects more than 55 million people worldwide, with no reliable treatment and no clear prevention strategy beyond the familiar advice about sleep and vegetables. And here, sitting on pharmacy shelves across the developed world, is a vaccine that has apparently been handing out significant neurological protection to everyone who rolled up their sleeve for it, without anyone fully realizing it was doing so. If you are over fifty and have not had your shingles vaccine, that is worth raising with your doctor. If you have, you may have done your brain a rather larger favour than you knew. Stay connected. This is what “rich” looks like I wake up everyday feeling like I hit the lotto. Not when I’m up on a trade or when I drive one of my cars, but in quiet moments like this. Just a few years ago, I was facing prison time. Broke. Delivering food on DoorDash to scrape together a few hundred bucks to fund my trading account. We shared a one-bedroom apartment with $500 to our name after bills. The journey from there to here wasn’t overnight. It wasn’t glamorous. It was a grind that broke me down before it built me up…but it made me the man I am today. Yes, I have the cars and watches now that people associate with success. But I can tell you with absolute certainty…they don’t compare to this. Building a life with someone who believed in you when nobody else did and winning the game of life Trading changed my financial situation, but gratitude changed my life. If you’re reading this and still in the grind, just keep pushing. I know it may seem like it will never work, but it will. You have to believe that. You have to be thankful for every little thing because without the bad there is no good. Without the bad you become weak. The most important thing is to remember what you’re working towards and make sure there is real meaning behind it. There’s nothing wrong with cars or a lavish lifestyle… But the only way you’ll have the hunger to get it and sustain it long term… Is by having a higher purpose that you constantly remind yourself of.

things to know about wv dms from someone who has experience with the bubble app and had a chat with skz hyunjin for over a year: - its 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹, it’s the members themselves - for us it’s a 1:1 chat with the idol but for them it’s like a groupchat with all the people who paid - they can see and directly reply to you if they want to but there’s too many ppl so it’s hard for them to see. 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆!!! they can actually select the message they want so if they ever reply to you you’ll know for sure. - they have an option in their version of the app where they click and it automatically mentions the name you have set on the app and it looks like he’s directly addressing you but it’s the same for every fan. - theres a 1 next to the messages, if it disappears, the member is in the chat, doesn’t mean he read specifically your message, remember it’s a gc for them. - the translations are bad so it’ll look weird, you can deactivate the automatic translation on the 3 dots on the upper right. make sure you always look for translations on here (ENHYPEN WEVERSE) before you bring something to tl. finally, ai bots reply immediately, once the boys go inactive or get busy, no matter how many messages you send you won’t get a reply. stop saying it’s fake or ai, i know its weird and you guys are new to it and it seems impossible bc they’re busy but its the same as when they come to weverse and reply to a bunch of people, they have time for that. you will see some members are more active and chatty than others too. please be careful with your words, these are the members’s words. + here’s jumgwon sending a text while on live earlier:

Would you call a crab walk gait a functional neurological disorder? Not so fast. If you encounter someone walk with tiny, sideways shuffling steps, kinda like a crab, it could be a clue. In a striking case just published by Fraiman and colleagues, a crab walk-like helped to uncover a rare but important white matter brain disease called CSF1R-related leukoencephalopathy. Key Points: - A short-stepped laterally swaying crab-like gait may be an early sign of a higher-level gait disorder. - This disorder could originate from the brain’s motor planning centers, and not muscles or nerves. - These gait patterns may signal frontal lobe dysfunction, especially when strength, sensation and coordination remain intact. - When paired w/ behavioral symptoms and frontal white matter changes on MRI, this gait pattern may point to CSF1R-related leukoencephalopathy. - This syndrome is an underrecognized adult-onset leukodystrophy. My take: My mentor used to teach that a great neurologist always walked their patients to the examination room and in many cases he/she would clinch the diagnosis even before the door was shut and the vital signs collected. Here are 5 points that resonated w/ me about this case. 1- A strange walk might be a warning sign. Don't jump to a functional diagnosis if you see a sideways walk. 2- The brain can be the source of walking challenges even when the legs are strong. 3- White matter diseases can show up as a funny walk. Memory and speech challenges may emerge later. 4-Don’t ignore personality or speech changes. Disinhibition, apathy or trouble finding words acould point to a deeper brain condition. 5- A brain MRI and genetic test can unlock the mystery. #parkinson Parkinson's Foundation Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases

I just built a Claude Code skill that scores whether your landing page actually keeps your Meta ad's promise 🤯 Drop in your ad and the page it points to. It reads both, scores the "ad scent" from click to page, and finds the exact line where the page breaks the promise that won the click. All inside Claude Code. Perfect for DTC brands and media buyers who pour everything into the ad and the CPA but never grade the seam in between. If you're scaling spend on a winning ad, the click is landing on a page that opens with something slightly different, the ad promised 50% off and the page shows full price, the ad hooked "for oily skin" and the page is a generic homepage, and nothing looks broken, but the visitor feels it and bounces... That gap has a name in conversion work: message match. And you already paid for the click you're losing. Here's what it does: → Drop in your ad (headline, copy, offer, CTA) and the landing-page URL → It fetches the live page and reads what's actually above the fold → Grades 7 continuity dimensions: promise, offer, angle, CTA, audience, proof, visual → Shows your ad's words next to your page's words, so every gap is right there → Rewrites your hero headline so the page keeps the ad's promise → Renders a dashboard with a Match Score out of 100 No guessing why the click bounced. No blaming the creative for a page problem. No buying more traffic to fix a copy problem. What you get: → A Match Score on every ad-to-page pair before you scale → The ad-side vs page-side quotes, side by side, for every leak → A hero rewrite you can paste straight onto the page → A dashboard you can hand to your team or client I'm giving away the full skill completely for free. Built 100% in Claude Code. No API keys. Want the skill? > Like this post > Comment "MATCH" And I'll send it over (must be following so I can DM)

The importance of pointing the AirFanta Wear personal air purifier accurately. You need to point the center of the Wear's airflow at your breathing zone. Otherwise you won't get any benefit from the device. This is just a visualization using the mist from an ultrasonic nebulizer to stand in for unfiltered ambient air. In the demonstration the air is not completely still due to the output of the nebulizer. But the air flow may be similar to cross currents that might be found in indoor settings. AirFanta has shown a number of different ways to position the Wear, but hasn't given exact numbers for distance as far as I know. I'm using a distance of 2 inches or less as a rule of thumb, with the center of the device pointed at my breathing zone. The 3/4 position feels like it's one that people may be the most interested in because it can let you eat while at the same time maintaining a close proximity to the output. The Wear is not meant as a one-to-one replacement for a respirator grade mask. It's best for situations where you were not going to be wearing a mask at all, but would still like to breathe cleaner air. Avoid risk compensation, which is where you take on more risk because you think you are more protected than you actually are. For instance, visiting a nephew sick with measles without an N95 mask because you think the Wear will give you equal protection. Maintaining the correct distance and orientation between the Wear and your breathing zone requires conscious effort. The Wear can reduce your overall exposure to airborne contaminants, but it needs to be used very close to breathing zone and needs to be very accurately centered.

Rest in peace, Sir Garry. There will never, ever be another like you. It is with a incredibly heavy heart that I hear the news of the passing of the greatest of them all, Sir Garfield Sobers. For anyone who loves this beautiful game, Sir Garry wasn’t just a cricketer; he was the ultimate standard of what a cricketer could be. When we talk about all-rounders today, we often look at players who can balance two disciplines. But Sir Garry? He was a master of five. He could bat like a dream, bowl fast-medium with the new ball, switch seamlessly to orthodox left-arm spin, bowl wrist spin, and field like a panther at short leg or in the slips. To watch him walk onto a cricket field, with that loose, rhythmic Caribbean stride, collars turned up, was to watch absolute majesty in motion. He played the game with a sublime joy and a fierce, competitive dignity that defined an entire era. I remember the sheer awe he inspired whenever India played the West Indies. You couldn't take your eyes off him. Even when he was taking the game away from you, you couldn't help but marvel at the genius of the man. His 365 not out stood as a mountain for decades, and those six sixes in an over became the stuff of folklore. Yet, off the field, he was always an absolute gentleman—warm, incredibly generous with his knowledge, and fiercely proud of the game's finest traditions. Cricket has lost its brightest jewel today. The stands are a little quieter, and the game is poorer without him. My deepest condolences go out to his family, his friends, and to every cricket lover across the Caribbean and the world who is mourning this incomparable loss.

Nobody’s perfect. This week I’ve been exploring attachment, a deep emotional bond between infants and their parents. In prior posts we’ve discussed four different attachment styles, with an emphasis on the most desirable and healthy of them all: secure attachment. Yesterday I emphasized that attachment styles result not from how you interact with your child SOME of the time, but how you interact ALL of the time - by which I mean that the totality of your interactions and the consistent and predictable patterns you establish with your child are what determines these outcomes. For this reason, your default mode should be warm and responsive. But today I want to insert a small, but important, caveat. Or at least a little more nuance. Nobody’s perfect. Nobody. As a well-intentioned parent it’s easy to hold yourself to an impossibly high standard. And that’s a recipe for fueling your own anxiety and ill health. The truth is that you can’t be instantly responsive 24/7 to your child’s every possible need. This isn’t an excuse to slack off. But it is a reminder to be kind to yourself. Parents are human. And we all have our lesser moments. We can be moody, stressed, exhausted... Sometimes we’re upset. Or distracted. And sometimes you need to take a shower. Or answer a knock on the door. Life happens. And the last thing I want you to take away from this conversation is a sense that any missed opportunity - or even the occasional boneheaded mistake - will cause your child irreparable harm. Instead think of attachment kind of like a jury might in a civil trial: what does the preponderance of the evidence suggest? Are you ALMOST always meeting your mark? If so, take this post as a little peace of mind. Secure attachment doesn’t require a perfect report card. If it did, secure attachments likely wouldn’t exist. The late pediatrician Donald Winnicot is credited with the concept of “good enough parenting” - which I’ve always found to be a really useful frame. This same concept holds true for lots of other advice that I’ve offered, by the way. Do you want to plop your baby in front of a screen all day? Absolutely not. Is it realistic to think they’ll never be exposed to one? Also probably not. Parenting isn’t an all or nothing proposition. So aim high… but give yourself a little grace. As instructed in this video posted to IG by digitalmumincome, I’m sharing it to let you know you’re doing an amazing job. (If you read regularly you’ll know this child is actually in active sleep - which sometimes includes eye opening… and most likely smiling reflexively…but it’s cute and its other message fits today’s post. So just enjoy!)

What an incredible first day and what a raptuous welcome from the city of Reggio Emilia🇮🇹❤️ When Catherine first entered the RF, Prince Philip told her: 'If you believe the attention is for you personally, you’re going to end up in trouble. The attention is for your role, what you do, what you’re supporting. It isn’t for you as an individual. You are not a celebrity. You are representing the Royal Family. That’s all. Don’t look at the camera. The Queen never looks at the camera. Never. Look at who you’re talking to. Look at what you’ve come to see.🔥 However there is a caveat here: People DO come to see Catherine. These people did not just come to see Royalty or the monarchy, they came to see Catherine. They came because they love HER and they came in crowds for HER❤️ And this is really what makes this woman so different: the screams of excitement as if she is a celebrity superstar, the adoration in Their eyes... this is not about the Monarchy but about Catherine. In that, the commoner the british press mocked and belittled; The one who was judged as "inconsequential" and "too shy" is the one who has transcended the RF to become an Icon in her own rights🔥 Whether she goes on a private visit or on an official visit, alone or accompanied; she is the ONE people are there to see. Well and so, look How far did Humility and grace get this Berkshire country girl...😏❤️ #PrincessofWales 📹 Max Foster

Let me give everyone just a little common sense test. It may be that I retired from the United States Air Force, that the answer is crystal clear to me and maybe a bit more challenging for others. So the guy on the left is claiming to be the president of the United States of America. He claims his name is Joe Biden but we know Joe Biden is dead. He faced a military tribunal and was executed. So really do you really think that a president of the United States of America gets off a plane and gets into some random dudes vehicle? Only someone that doesn't know anything about the military would think such nonsense. Or are you someone that has a great deal of common Sense and critical thinking ability and can see this motorcade on the right and know that that's what a presidential motorcade looks like and that means the president is really in there. This so happened to be president Trump on his way to South Carolina rally. So is the real president on the left side or is the real president on the right side? This really should be a no-brainer but of course we know liberals absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt or no brainers they have no brains, they have no common sense, there are cognitive dissonance is all messed up, and they have zero critical thinking capabilities. By the way even former presidents don't have motorcades that look like that for anybody thinking that the excuse for it. So-called president gets in an Uber carrying his own luggage and people can't wake the hell up.
