As some of you know, my dad passed away last month after a two-year battle with cancer. Right after he was diagnosed in 2023, Shane Beamer sent this to my dad to give him inspiration for the battle ahead. My dad said he would start each week off listening to coach’s words…then would head in to Monday chemo. You never know how some seemingly small gesture can impact someone for the rest of his or her life. So thankful Shane took the time out of his crazy schedule to give my dad a little motivation before the fight of his life. 🙏

Despite receiving treatment including a blood transfusion and surgery, his condition deteriorated further due to an autoimmune disease. He passed away in his sleep on July 15. At the time of his death he measured 8 ft 11.1 in tall. His coffin was 10 feet 9 inches long and weighed over 1,000 pounds. It required twelve pallbearers and eight assistants for transportation.
