A stable aquarium may only need to have 10% of its water changed weekly, sometimes not even that. The fish waste feeds the plants; draining from bottom removes those nutrients and the plants will die. Tank is too small and given its height, there is insufficient surface area for oxygen exposure and gas release to sustain a healthy ecosystem. Far too many fish added. A rule of thumb is to allow 1 inch of fish per gallon of water. That number increases if surface area increases and aquarium height decreases. A setup like this is a guaranteed failure.

I had a two gallon fish tank as a kid, never changed the water, had it for at least 10 years. Gravel, plants, bottom feeders, snails, and guppies mostly. No filter or aerator, all natural.

The fish waste makes excellent feed for produce gardens, so don’t waste it.

This "aquarium" counts as animal cruelty under Hungarian law. But surely in many other countries too (because it's round).

Ecosystem design mirrors sound capital allocation: self-correcting systems reduce maintenance costs and compound efficiency over time.

Just throwing fish in like that's gonna throw them into shock.

That's brilliant then you can use the waste water to fertilize plants.

It's a home brewing container designed to remove the spent yeast at the bottom.

Not a great idea to just pour in the fish without acclimating them to the water first. Also, the rocks randomly disappear throughout the video. The idea could work with another filter between the rocks, but I kinda doubt you'd get most of the poop to come out that cleanly.

Interesting concept, but this tank is way too small for that many fish. Overcrowding like this can lead to poor water quality and stressed fish. Better to use a larger proper aquarium if trying this setup.
