Nah, can't agree with that interpretation. She just wasn't into him. That's just how it goes sometimes. Not every date is a home run. The fact that he got huffy about paying for dinner when he realized she wasn't into him doesn't speak well for him as a man.

Her only bad move was recording and posting the conversation. Not cool at all. But he throws the “only looking for a free meal” bullshit line.

She was right. Asking to walk her to her room puts her in a risky position where she could be overpowered. He offered to pay and then got bitter. Thankfully, he showed his colors early on.
