A middle-aged mason, Mr. Ernest Nkrumah, has shared the heartbreaking story of how he has been bedridden for the past four years after suffering a serious spinal cord injury while at work. According to him, he was working on a three-storey building in Accra when a corroded scaffold collapsed, causing him to fall heavily on his waist. He said he was rushed to the Achimota Hospital and later referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for further treatment. Mr. Nkrumah revealed that doctors recommended surgery, but the procedure could not be carried out after his family failed to raise their portion of the medical cost, despite the owner of the building contributing part of the amount to support the surgery.

He told dispatch, as he was trapped on the 105th floor of the South Tower that he didn't want to die. 2 others were trapped with him. It collapsed while he was still on the line. Warning, this is heartbreaking and graphic audio but Zohran & Co. need to hear it. September 11, 2001. Never forget.
