My mom was a commercial pilot for American Airlines for nearly 25 years. Retired as a Captain. She wasn't given anything. Often she was held to a much higher standard than male pilots. She would be asked to perform tasks and answer highly technical questions during her certification and recertification process that weren't generally asked of others. I don't know what they do now, but she had to fight for everything she got. She earned her place and Retired with a perfect record.

People are mocking the young lady as if her male pilot wasn't the one who literally gave up after one minute and started praying. She was communicating and panicking until the last second. In such a situation everyone's different and everyone is afraid. You're losing your life..
