Oh, that's hard to watch! When I was 15, I was in gym class on the balance beam doing a routine for my grade. A cheerleader show-off climbed up on the same beam, interrupting my routine, so she could impress her friends. I had to squat down to hold the beam, waiting to dismount and for her to get off. She did a dismount, kicked straight up and hit me with her heel at the base of my nose with full force, and mine looked worse than his. You could put your finger completely across where my nose used to be and touch both cheeks with one finger, it was that flat, and it knocked me cold. When I woke up, the teachers sat me up and blood gushed everywhere. In the ER, the doctor forced his thumbs up both of my nostrils and popped my nose back into position, and I promptly kicked him in the nuts as hard as I could and called him every filthy name I could think of. God, that hurt!
