Chivayo had become a public symbol of the exact things many already distrust in Kenyan politics ,i.e connected foreigners getting unusual access to State House and large public projects. He was an outsider who appeared to skip normal scrutiny because of personal proximity to power.His was evidence of cronyism rather than ordinary business diplomacy. He had a fraud conviction that led to prison time, a man with that history should not have been granted a Kenyan passport or regular presidential access, especially ahead of the 2027 elections. May his afterlife be determined by his deeds on earth.
