#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson said he wants to get back to his “savage” and “f it” mode from his 2023 season: “Just wanted to get back to that kid phase of overly loving football, overly loving being out there on Sundays, making the big plays. Just being part of this great organization. Just wanting to get back mentally into that mode.”

#Vikings QB JJ McCarthy says he flips a switch on game day, and calls it “nine.” “Nine comes out and I gotta understand he can’t be at his peak performance throughout three and a half hours. So, how do I find little ways on the sideline to get back to my breath, get back to my visualization that can maintain that intense competitive stamina throughout the whole game. It’s the pure will, determination to get the job done.”

#Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell says JJ McCarthy still doesn’t have his “reactionary movements” in the pocket back to 100% yet with the ankle injury: “It’s really just about, ‘Hey, maybe a guy gets edged, and I don’t know the movement I have to make,’ that’s where he still feels it. If he doesn’t have the ability to do that pain free, we obviously risk setting him back, which would be very unfortunate with the time lost already.”

Justin Jefferson on what he thinks the #Vikings are missing: “I don’t have the answer to that question… obviously the QB is the main question everybody is asking… people just need to give him (McCarthy) a little bit of patience… It’s a process that he needs to go through. He needs to learn this game, he needs to learn playing with the best receiver in the game. He needs to learn how to manage that offense. It comes with time.” (Yahoo Sports via YouTube)
