He is now unpopular even in communities that voted for him, a reflection of what many see as a deeply disappointing presidency. Instead of focusing on the issues that matter to ordinary Americans, he has spent much of his time embroiled in controversies, accusations of corruption, and allegations that he has used the power of the American state to benefit himself and his family.
