He is. In no other developed nation would someone who has done what Trump has done not be imprisoned for life. We're broken. And for all those years when it seemed that we weren't broken it was only because of sufficient good will and shared commitment to making all of this work. Today we have pernicious polarization, and it has exposed us to the worst elements of all humanity, and nobody in government, business, law firms and academia seem to GAF enough to want to save our republic for ourselves and posterity. All I heard before the election was if Trump wins, don't worry, "Our Institutions Are Strong!" Forgive me for wanting to puke my f'ng brains out.

Bingo and for the rest of my life I better never again hear any American say they have the greatest democracy on earth - bullshit because a good, strong democracy has effective checks and balances that work regardless of who is in power! Under Trump the US is a banana republic!

The USA is so intoxicated by its own exceptionalism and winner mythology that it can no longer recognize collapse when it arrives, and Trump finally gave that blindness a face.

@seaghmacs 100%..trump is a symptom, rather than a cause, of a moral and ethical collapse in a not insignificant % of 🇺🇸 population (who have had their minds rotted by a 15y tsunami of Russian / far-right billionaire disinfo)

He is correct why would you take any US leader at their word?when you have someone like Trump come in and break agreements he wrote. the era of the US control over EU security is over.

@Danielash79Ash I’d argue that you can’t trust the American people. That’s the saddest part for me actually. 😔 You can’t trust people who vote for this. You also can’t trust people who don’t do anything to stop this atrocity, even when they admit this isn’t what they voted for.

@MaMoMVPY Absolutely. That’s a very common sentiment, also here in Norway.

It's been obvious for a long time that a simple change in administration isn't going to restore the basic order prior to 2025 The US, if its wants to go down the restoration of alliances path (trade & security) is going to have to make widespread reform in a plethora of areas

@DavidS50524529 Exactly this! When 50% of the population are morons for a looong time, unevenly spread around the country, there's no "undo button" one could press once krasnov & vance are gone. Courts, institutions, voting system, media: gouged. thiel, musk, bezos etc. will stay puppet masters.

That’s what I was thinking all the time, they keep lecturing us about democracy but the democracy in United States of America is not working at all.
The main issue is not Trump. The main issue is all the people in congress who have categorically refused to do their job for the past 15 months. And the supreme court which has not done its job either for 99% of that time. This is why impeaching/25th-ing Trump solves nothing.

He is absolutely right. We are right in disconnecting from the US and finding other partners and allies

It is very true. I can't imagine any other country in the free world letting someone like trump even run for president.

Did ever occur to europeans that the US has been cleaning up 500 years of their bs conquests and colonizations? Fuck those eurotrash assholes

Agreed. It's not just Trump! Though HIS choices have done immense damage to America recently, using him as a bag-holder for their long list of sins won't cut it. The whole US Admin, Congress, FedRes, Legal System, War Apparatus & US Technocratic Globalists are all corrupt & EVIL.

The USA has become a failed state, a cesspit. Sowers of hatred, gun crazy morons, racists, loudmouthed braggarts, delusional idiots, selfish scum. Greed, kitsch, uglyness. A loony bin full with nasty people with antisocial personality disorders.

LOL, a European complaining about how American people "will not sufficiently rise up." That coming from an obvious caucasian (and obviously feminised European male, despite the beard) whose country and continent are on the way to becoming a caliphate in the next 20 years or so.

He is absolutely right. No checks and balances in USA Government. Gone .,,

@arf84648947 He is correct. I had no idea how fragile the U.S. constitution was until Trump came along. Not to mention the lack of checks and balances or even guardrails.

@ylecun This is 100% accurate. I see this sentiment everywhere I go. His black light analogy is better than my version, though. I hope US citizens wake up to this before it is irreversible. Although, I suspect it's already too late.

Yeah. It seems that USA was based on a "Gentleman's agreement". And it only one person who is not a gentleman to ruin it all.

What USA don’t understand, Europe is the apex predator on the planet. We are now just sharpening our teeth & claws by rapidly rearming. Trump literally killed US empire within a year. What a time to be alive and see the changes real time

That's why I said it's going to take decades to rebuild trust.

Our days of bowing to the crown have ended! Europe is captured and collapsing!

The Europeans are just tired of paying for the US economy and military and there is a lesson to be had there

The checks and balances don’t work at the moment. Congress stays quiet, court decisions are ignored, skilled people are fired for no reason and replaces by puppets, funds are withheld, arguments don’t count, facts don’t count, only the gut feeling of one men surrounded by nitwits

This has to be bait. Nobody is this clueless.

USA is not stable country, the world is tired of it Good luck America 🇺🇸 you are on your own

GOOD ANALOGY EH!🍁🍁🍁🍁🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 although CHEAP Hotel Room would be a titch more accurate

I can't even.. "80 years of goodwill that Europe has extended to the States"? LOL. Thanks for graciously allowing us to militarily defend Europe's global banking interests that have run NATO. So nice of you all.

Congratulations 🇺🇸 Are y’all winning enough yet?

he is 100% right, where ther isnt acontability ther isnt credibility. Even in brazil when our presidents do stupid shit they get behind bars.

@DorinCheptea Yup.
