When he admitted he was "DOING AN ID CHECK" he officially violated the 4TH AMENDMENT and his oath. I dont understand how this isnt grounds for IMMEDIATE TERMINATION since the oath they swear to "DEFEND AND UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION" is technically THE ONE AND ONLY JOB THEY HAVE and they MUST SWEAR this oath before receiving the authority they have. Its the ONE STIPULATION AND JOB REQUIREMENT and it seems like only 3% of them even have a clue what the Constitution is.

@tariqnasheed I normally side with police, but the cop is wrong here. Cops always ask: “Do you know why I pulled you over?” It’s to get you to admit probable cause. Don’t do it. If he won’t say why he stopped you and demands you give him the reason, he knows he’s wrong. And here, he knew.

@tariqnasheed Officer is bogus at the least you cannot pull someone over and check ID without probable cause he did not say anything about a signal until he realized he was losing the argument because he was doing an illegal stop so then he pulls the you didn't use your turn signal to cover.

The cop knew he was in the wrong. In the US, the Fourth Amendment prohibits unreasonable seizures, and a traffic stop counts as one. Police need reasonable suspicion; specific, articulable facts suggesting a law violation, like speeding, a broken taillight, or erratic driving, to pull you over. The Supreme Court ruled this clearly in *Delaware v. Prouse* (1979): random stops just to check licenses or registration are unconstitutional. Officers can't pick cars arbitrarily without any reason. They can stop you for a traffic infraction, investigate if something looks off during the stop, or at properly set up checkpoints for things like DUI sobriety, but not for "no reason" or pure whims. If a stop lacks that basis, any evidence found can get tossed out in court.

@tariqnasheed If the state is not a Terry stop then the officer should never have pulled him over. There's enough evidence to show here that he made up the idea of the turn signal after the fact. That would be a violation of the fourth amendment.
