Scarface is widely regarded as a classic today, but when it first came out, the reception was brutal. Steven Bauer, who played Manny, says it was so painful that for years he and Al Pacino barely even spoke about the film. He explains… “Scarface is great to be a part of now. For years, it was dismal - like everybody associated with Scarface was a leper - people got very wimpy about Scarface really quickly. As soon as the reviews were out… Our peers came to see the movie in the premiere, right? There were two premieres, one in New York, one in LA, and people came to see it and they were like, ‘Wow, what a movie…. The next day, the reviews are out, and all the papers — this is before the internet, okay? - so you get just the conventional news media outlets - and 90% of them gave Scarface a horrible review. Like horrible, really, really insulting, injurious stuff. Personal attacks on Pacino and Brian De Palma, the director, and on Oliver, the writer... It was really, really mean because the country was going through a politically correct sort of thing - they were like, "This is like a new wave of violence in the movies, oh!" It’s nice because when I see Al - we can finally talk about it, because...for years, we couldn’t even talk about it. We’d be like, “Oh yeah, Scarface, yeah, yeah...” It was so sad! Because the movie was so great! And then it was like this thud, and it lasted like 10 years… Anywhere I’d go, it was like, ‘You’re that guy who was really good in that really terrible movie.’ And I’d be like, ‘How could you say that?’ And they’d go, ‘Well, you were good.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, but I don’t care. What about the movie?’ And they go, ‘Oh, come on, you gotta admit it. It was like way over the top. It was like so exaggerating,’ blah, blah, blah, blah.…and I’d be like, ‘You’re a pussy!”

So we went all the way to Kalyan to see his Placestation machine. And we placed an order immediately. Without: - a deep costing study - proof it would work at scale - any guarantee it was right for us We just believed in Vishal. He said: “I can do it.” So we backed him and gave him space to build. And today, I’m happy to announce: 5000 pcs production of PCBs has started. We may never need to import PCBs for our rechargeable fans again. A big piece of the puzzle is now Swadeshified 🇮🇳 And the best part? It works out cheaper than importing from China. Next steps: -Keep scaling up -Indianise PCBs for our choppers and massagers. TOPSAIL PCB. Made in Bharat🇮🇳 What a feeling.🥰

He's even eyeing a test of NATO's Article 5 and hoping his far-right buddies take over Europe. The West's slow reaction and constant reliance on America has just emboldened him. Kasparov is right, the only thing that changes Russia is a Ukrainian victory, and fast. Everything you said is absolutely correct. vladimir's putin’s rule is devastating for Russia and I believe it will end to the collapse of the Russian Empire which is long overdue. But vladimir putin’s calculations are not based on this rational thinking. His view is very different. He is in power for 25 years and counting. That’s all that matters for him. He’s a dictator and he works for one thing: only survival. He’s still there. And the war has become the only way to keep him in power. War now is in every layer of Russian society, from the very top of the government to industries all the way down to kindergartens. It’s infected by the war virus and that's how putin stays in power. Interviewer: So that makes him different from let's say Soviet leaders or or even some of the tsar’s right? Again you should look at Soviet leaders based on the political momentum, just obviously Soviet leaders that we remember, you and me, so like Brezhnev, they had different calculations. I'm not here to advocate for the communist party or for any kind of ideology but there's a fundamental difference between the party rule which is a mafia structure and the one man dictatorship. putin shifted Russia to a one man dictatorship where everything depends on an individual who is on the top of power, who becomes at certain time a spine of the whole system. And this system depends on his survival, demonstrating his strengths is to be a macho, to be an alpha, surrounded by other mafia bosses. And that's why, you know, his current position today is, you may call it desperate, but I don't think he he sees it the same way. He will continue the war as long as he has the resources. And this is something that the free world is just getting to understand. A very difficult video to watch - an embarrassing one to this TV3 reporter. Three things happening in this video 1. A journalist obviously misleading the public and his guest and doing that with so much confidence 2. A Journalist on a forceful attempt to shape the narrative in a direction completely different from the reality of his guest 3. A citizen who is narrating his reality and refusing to allow a journalist to gaslight him and tell him how to feel about his reality 1. At the time the NDC government was taking office on January 7th 2025, the exchange rate was GHc14.75. At no point in this country have we experienced Dollar exchange rather in 2025. For journalist to boldly peddle such lies and attempt to use that to mislead a citizen and solicit a skewed response from him is not only shameful but also dangerous to our society 2. For the journalist to tell the citizen that, he doesn’t know which part of Ghana he (the citizen) lives cos he knows a lot of people who tell him everything is going on well and perfect amounts to gaslighting. It is to say, the citizen doesn’t know his reality and he’s probably delusional about his own existence. If you were sure about the realities of the country, you would not have gone to the streets with microphone and camera to speak to people. Not a fair approach to your audience Surely, His boss in the office will have a conversation with him after sighting this video. We are all learning and I’m sure he will do better next time. The fact about this government running a contradictory economy hasn’t changed. It remains the only government on the history if this country, who has cedi appreciating in the books of the Bank of Ghana but highly expensive for business men. BOG still reports dollar to cedi at GHc10.34 and yet, no Ghanaian business man is able to get dollar for less than 12cedis in this country. That’s a real Problem and no journalist will be allowed to let us feel delusional about this reality.
