“I’m just going to say as this process has gone on, I’ve been thinking more and more about LeBron in Miami. When he went back to Cleveland it was about making something right, the way It ended in Miami wasn’t quite right. The would be something about making it right.” — Brian Windhorst on LeBron James to Miami

Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for a really ‘serious’ organization and wants to be coached hard, per Sam Amick “I think the theme with Boston and Miami is, Giannis is ready for a really serious organization. I think he wants to be coached hard right now. — I do wonder how he feels about joining a Celtics organization that already has 17 banners. In Miami you’d maybe get a little more celebrated if you get them another one.” (Via

Chad Johnson hints at Kyrie Irving getting traded so he can team up with LeBron in Miami👀 Ocho: “What about the opportunity of Kyrie going to Miami…I’m telling y’all again ahead of time — I get a chance to throw these hints out but nobody is really picking up what I’m putting down. What are the chances of Kyrie going down to Miami?” Joe: “I love it bro — I’m a big fan of Kyrie…I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Bron get back together…” (via Nightcap)

Giannis Antetokounmpo WANTS LeBron James to join the Heat, per Shams Charania “There’s a draw with Miami. Pat Riley is a draw, Spoelstra is a draw. I have gotten any feel that there’s still tension between LeBron and Pat Riley that would detour him from that. I think Bam and Giannis are big draws for him too. He played team USA for Bam and has a lot of respect for Bam. Giannis would want LeBron in Miami from my understanding as well. No state taxes…. In January, you think about Miami and, it’s Miami! If you have a team that is basically neck and neck but one of them is based in Miami, with no state taxes.”

“When LeBron went back to Cleveland, he talked about Miami like college…I learned how to be a champion—So if this is the final chapter, to make it a new team that he's never been part of doesn't feel right in terms of the narrative arc. Miami has a little bit of it.” @howardbeck.bsky.social

Giannis on the possibility of LeBron James coming to the Miami Heat: “I don’t think I’ll pitch anything to him. I feel like I feel always in his career he made good decisions. That’s what history has shown. Everywhere he’s been, he’s won. If he believes the Miami Heat organization is a good decision for him and his family he should make that decision. He’s one of the greatest players to play this game if not the greatest. From day 1 he offers so much to a team. For me, having a guy like that it will be wonderful to learn from, to pick his brain. He’s a person I definitely look up too. He’s been in Miami, he knows what Miami is about and when he’s ready he’ll decide.” (Via mikecugnocbs4)

Dwyane Wade on LeBron James choosing Philadelphia over a potential return to Miami: “From a basketball standpoint, I thought it is a very strategic move at this point in his career. It definitely gives him the best chance... I feel like it gives him the best chance in the East to be able to get back to compete for a championship. I think Miami would have been a good move as well, but a lot of moving parts in that needed to go right.I feel like this is a little bit more, right away from the beginning, the best chance for basketball. But also too, I don't think we've seen the end of what this move is. I think it's more to this move.” (via Conversations with Cam Podcast)

Adam Schefter believes LeBron is going to Miami 👀 “I still think he’s going to end up in Miami…. I had somebody text me at the outset of free agency, ‘that you might want to check into LeBron and Miami.’ Like right away… I think people are overlooking this, he has become a rabid golf fan… where could he play golf all the time? In Miami.” (Via 97.5 The Fanatic)

Joe Johnson wants to see Klay Thompson join the Miami Heat: “I think in Miami with that downhill demon in Giannis Antetokounmpo — you need to put as much shooting as you can around him because that man is going to create opportunities for everybody — not just himself…I wish my knees wasn’t messed up — I’d shoot a couple of jumpers…I got about 10-15 minutes for them folks over there (Miami)…I want to see Klay Thompson go out the right way — I don’t like how they did him in Dallas…” (via Nightcap)

Definitely not going to be a road game here in Miami for Indiana. Looks about 65/35 right now in favor of the Hoosiers.

Brian Windhorst likes LeBron going back to Miami now, because of the ‘story’: “The more I thought about it I just think Miami is a more viable option than I was given it credit for. The story makes sense in Cleveland, that’s the cleanest story. But the story in Miami is there too if he wants it. The CLE/PHI roster is more built out from straight basketball. I hear people talking about ‘story, story, story’ I think there’s a story to tell in Miami too. That’s all I’m saying.”

Frank Isola believes Miami with LeBron would be better than Golden State with LeBron: “I definitely think it’s Miami. Think about the two terrific defensive players you’re going to have. Giannis going to Miami, a little similar in Kevin Garnett when he left Minnesota. He was rejuvenated. I think that Giannis will be rejuvenated in Miami… He needs LeBron initiating the offense, using his head. It’ll be great for him and Pat Riley always goes big game hunting. We’ll see if he can get one more whale.” (Via PTI)
