Rock is such a diverse music genre; just because he also sings rock doesn't automatically mean he will sing other rock artists music to a good standard. The fact that he does shows his capabilities.

Speaking not only for that performance, but going to live shows you never know what they’re gonna do. I went to three days grace concert and they did a cover of Alice In Chains rooster. Really is cool to see bands play stuff you wouldn’t think they would.
