A trigger guard in a holster could absolutely move a trigger that much, it's well within tolerances and is miles away from how far the trigger would have to be depressed to go off. Meaning the gun could absolutely go off in the holster with pressure or impact of the gun. NOT GREAT SIG.

👀💧 Barely touching the trigger, not even a MM of actuation on it, and jiggling the slide makes it go off. NOT GREAT.

Good breakdown for everyone who is confused.

I’ve heard for ages that the p320 had ND issues, but the sheer amount of testing with relatively consistent problems and results that have come out over the last few months have been insane. Is the QC getting worse or are people looking at the p320 in their safe and testing it

Mix of everything if I had to guess. It's not a single cause issue which is partly why it's so squirrelly to nail down why this is happening to some and not others.

@Im_Jackalope Don't forget all the little stealth changes they've made without informing anyone. Means if a gun is kitbashed it will act unpredictably.

@ArmedJ0y That’s been one of the major reasons I haven’t gotten one yet

@AlfonsoHegao @ArmedJ0y I don't see why you, or anyone, would get one ever.

@AlfonsoHegao @ArmedJ0y so long as you don’t leave it chambered laying around like a dickhead and don’t carry it you really shouldn’t have an issue. I liked the one I shot and if I found a good deal I’d get one. It would be kept in a 3 inch thick tungsten cube stored in the 4th dimension until range day

@AlfonsoHegao @ArmedJ0y And also buying one used to send less money to sig

This is their "Boeing 737 MAX" moment. Even someone not at all versed in gun safety can easily see how bad of a mess up this is.

So the screw is to replicate something putting a little rearward travel on the trigger from say the holster or otherwise touching but not pulling the trigger?

Yep. Consistent pressure backwards right up to but not reaching the wall

@mister447 sorry, what kind of retarded holster applies pressure to the trigger? how much of a moron do you have to be to use a holster which presses on the trigger

@ArmedJ0y @mister447 Most holsters are somewhat flexible and can scrape the trigger if tolerance isn't absolutely perfect. It's usually not enough force to even be considered a factor to anything but clearly here it's a problem

@ToupeeCostanza @ArmedJ0y @mister447 It’s been a problem 100 times with 3.5 million p320s in circulation. I’m gonna say that’s probably infrequent enough to not worry about it apart from being a little extra careful when holstering the weapon.

@ToupeeCostanza @ArmedJ0y @mister447 No I think it's a problem enough to warrant being pulled from military service and doing a forced recall. Get the tolerances right this time, and make it so bumping the slide doesn't fire the gun

@ToupeeCostanza @ArmedJ0y @mister447 But bumping the slide *isn’t* enough to fire the weapon. It’s only enough to fire the weapon if the trigger is depressed nearly to the wall. I bet most polymer frame striker fired pistols would behave similarly.

@legoguy4321 @ToupeeCostanza @ArmedJ0y I bet they don't. The guy said it was <1mm of travel. That's nothing. One of the design problems is the 320 has a fully cocked striker. It makes the trigger nicer, but clearly at a cost. Combine that with tolerance stacking and you have a problem.

That's terrifying. It really is Sig Shake Awake

Holy hell! This dude needs to check his brake lines, they’re going to want to shut him up.

Okay. It’s time.

some guys who dont understand what he's showing seem to understand it better if you remind them the P320 has a fully cocked striker and that the internal small parts are the only thing keeping it from firing, when the gun is cocked the striker on its own wants to and will go forward if not actively obstructed

Holy fucking shit. This is gonna be a huge recall.

I'm sure sig are feeling really stupid right now after saying this shit

Its crazy that hi-point has better quality than sig in 2025

oh my fucking god…

It ends today

Que all of the cope. Meh that's not a millimeter meh that's not realistic enough. My brothers in Christ this not acceptable.

I wanted to duck every time he was pointing at the camera

>draw your weapon on attacker >attacker tries to grab it >it auto shoots them for trying to disarm you

What's your point when you have something jamming the trigger?

This is a tragedy waiting to happen, what a horrible security design.

I can’t believe a fucking hi point is safer than the official sidearm of the armed forces -7DeadlyFetishes

mine has never gone off negligently bc i don’t keep a screw jammed into my trigger 😂😂

Manufactured where now?

Anybody tested P365 to see if it suffers from same issues?

The fact the p320 is that documented being unsafe in high number is about to make me sell my xmacro (a good gun) to use the funds to deck out my 43x. What the actual fuck. Watching this fucking pisses me off that this is a SIG production gun. There is already blood on their hands how many more people will get killed due to a SIG non user error ND? I guess time will tell of the growing body count unfortunately. Makes me sick tbh

They should be sued for safety violations bro. A gun should not go off for any reason with little movement, especially with the safety on, this gun should be banned forever everywhere and people who bought it should be refunded. This is a major safety concern. And the company making them is suing a police department for banning them 😭😭😭

I’m not terribly knowledgeable about guns but this seems like a “multiple people need to be fired and at least one needs to beblacklisted from the industry forever” kind of mistake

That’s a fatal deficiency to have. I’m disappointed in sig for cookin a product like this . Insane

Holy shit.

Is the P320 the only model with the issue?

He put in an empty shell case and no slide recoil…

Utterly horrifying. And I'm just talking about how much time and money SIG has put into trying to cover it all up.

Theres fuckin up, then theres Sig Sauer fuckin up. YIKES.

Would have been funnier if you had someone scream in the background when it went off.

Anyone else wondering why he is doing this in his barn?

Blanks are great for these tests
