Over the weekend, a woman was killed in a random drive-by shooting in Boise. A resident of the neighborhood, like many of Idaho's transplants, said he moved here because he expected it to be a safe place. He said that it's a quiet neighborhood and that nothing like this had ever happened before. Boise leadership has been systematically changing the culture of the city, and this is the result.

The pool hall scene in Carlito’s Way is one of the most suspenseful set pieces in all of crime cinema. However, when the studio executives saw an early cut, they thought it was too long and asked Brian De Palma to cut it back - but instead, he made it even longer. The writer of the film, David Koepp explains…. “We showed an early cut to the studio, and one of their notes was that the pool hall scene seemed too long. I was talking to Brian about it, and I said, “what do you think about this note that the pool hall scene is too long? I don't think they're right about that.” And he said, “No, no, no, they're absolutely right, they're absolutely right. But what they mean is that it's not long enough” And I thought he was just being cheeky and defiant. But actually, no - I mean, he knows suspense so well, he felt that it was just that he had failed to set up a little bit of the geography of the suspense - which is of course, his mastery. You know - the guys in the bathroom, the door is slightly open, the other guys over here - all that great establishment of where everybody is, and how close they are to each other, and what all the stakes are. The suspense only works later if that stuff's set up properly before. And so when he went back and furthered some of that coverage and expanded the front of the scene a little bit, the scene was nail biting and great. And they saw another cut and said, “much better shorter, much better shorter.”

someone asked if seonghwa had used his 'drastic solution/remedy' (screaming at someone who's being loud aka counter loudness with loudness) on yunho before and he said no. then someone else commented that it's something exclusive for mingi. and yun said yeah, mingi does sing a lot in the waiting room. but he said that doesn't mean mingi is the type of person who is loud/disruptive. he said whenever min starts singing, he'd occasionally join in. he says it's fun and the members are like that too. he said the only problem though is that sometimes mingi doesn't know when to stop. but listening to him before they go on stage or when they're in the waiting room is kind of energizing; it sort of livens up the mood. he said sometimes he and san would sing along too ~ yun said that he tries to read the room and be mindful of the others. but for mingi, it's like his steering wheel- or rather, his brakes are broken 😭 he just gets so excited 😭🫳🏼 but well, yunho said he understands. it's probably because it's super fun for mingi. yun would think "wow, doesn't he ever get tired? it's like he's reached a whole new level" 🫳🏼
