I'm sure there are people who hate Mamdani and Obama because of their race, though lumping together such different politicians is...odd. But there are also many people who oppose Mamdani for legitimate reasons. Jews are upset about Mamdani calling us "monsters," repeatedly referring to the war Hamas started as a "genocide," stripping NYC of a working definition of antisemitism, vetoing protections for Jewish schools, and presiding over an outrageous rise in anti-Jewish hate crimes in the city with the most Jews. Calling people who oppose certain politicians "Nazis" is reductive and cruel, especially when it is Jews who are speaking up because we want to stay alive. Even a brown Jew like me, Iraqi and African.

Mayor elect Mamdani is way out of line for victim blaming the Jewish community after the violent mob that terrorized a synagogue this week. His ridiculous suggestion that it is the Jews who are violating the law rather than the mob chanting for genocide against Jews is absolutely insane. His positions are completely unconscionable.
