He secured his manager position right here for me

Good call. They respect him and play hard for him. And he trusts his young players

@nhlpalmieri yeah that was one of the coolest moments of this whole season for me. so excited.

Great job Andy and good luck moving forward. LGM!!

He takes Thornton out 10 times out of 10 if that game actually mattered

Mendoza used to do the same thing in 2024. Then he started caring about keeping his job.

Yea wait to April next season when he leaves a pitcher in there to long or takes them out to fast u gonna want him gone

100%

@JConstantinides Agreed! I knew exactly what this video was before even watching

Have to trust your pitchers

I second this 10000%

This is what got carlos mendoza fired. No trust with pitching staff. He treated them like pets

Don't remember his exact words but it seemed like he wanted to stay home to be around his family. The Mets must have made him a great offer. Hey ..One good decision this year. 😎

@HoodieAlonso The front office makes all decisions

Me too!

Nah, for me just noticing the fielding improve, the stability around the team subtly begin, results from a piece meal bullpen (which I still don’t think has been recognized enough) as well as production from young players even as they struggled. That is what managers do…
