Someone like Festus Keyamo should understand that public trust is built on consistency. Many Nigerians remember that he once questioned the credibility of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 1999. Years later, he defended the President over questions about his academic records, arguing that great men can study and pass examinations from home. That history is why some people now question the consistency of his public positions. Now, he has turned his attention to Peter Obi. Whether you support Peter Obi or not, political criticism should be based on facts, fairness, and accountability—not selective standards. If Peter Obi had chosen to live like many traditional Nigerian politicians, would he be subjected to the same level of scrutiny over his personal lifestyle? Even some APC office holders, including local government officials, are not subjected to the same public treatment. One of the greatest challenges facing Nigeria today is that what should be normal—humility, accountability, and respect for due process—is sometimes portrayed as unusual, while conduct that should be questioned is normalized. As citizens, we should pay attention and demand the same standards for everyone, regardless of political affiliation. I still believe that one day we will have a Nigeria where fairness, accountability, and equal treatment under the law are the norm. Justice can never be cracked.

Never have I seen a petitioner in the Supreme Court openly abuse the Chief Justice of India. This man’s name is Prabal Pratap. Even though he is wearing a black robe, he is not a lawyer, but an overwhelmed and frustrated petitioner who spoke his mind. Yes, his conduct undermines the dignity of the highest court in India. But why would an ordinary citizen do this, knowing full well it could amount to contempt of court? Perhaps we should consider that he is expressing the collective frustration and helplessness of many Indian citizens who feel tormented by the inefficiency of the justice system. #CJI

Residing in the UK is a privilege and for that reason, this privilege should be removed from the Digwa family. They should all be deported. 4.A full and transparent public investigation into Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and the arresting officers’ conduct. If we have to continue to peacefully demonstrate for justice, like we did for the release of the police body-worn camera footage – then so be it.
