In tornado areas, why don't the states legislate brick and mortar for building homes? I have seen in some videos that it is the debris from one wooden house that destroys another and then more and more debris with more and more damage. We had tornado's here, the brick and mortar structures survives.

Bless him! I know guy who experienced something very similar. There wasn’t time to seek shelter. He rode it out clinging to his armchair. Added a tornado shelter to the house when he rebuilt.

Poor fella. I understand why people live there. Work, family etc... But I'm a bit more cautious. I would have left in my late teens. The worst that happens where I live is the occasional windstorm that hit's about 70mph and once every 10 years a snow storm. 🤞
