Why do these people think they are special? Like some gorilla whisperer!! At any moment this magnificent beast could snap her neck in seconds. Why do people put themselves in these situations??

So much trust. He could mess her up in an instant.

It does show some aspect of civility though, the Gorilla would rather conduct extortion than have to resort to violence. I mean, it's still threatening behaviour, but atleast it let her live, so long as she cooperated.
