Same scenario played out for me 2 days ago. I hit my breaks and waved him over. He waved at me to say thank you. I waved back to say your welcome. The whole thing took about 9 seconds.

And there was probably plenty of room behind him to merge. He just had to be one more car ahead.

You could be in the right not to let him merge but who wants to deal with the headache of insurance and copays and they’ll jack your rate up now even if you aren’t at fault. Just let people merge it’s not worth it to win some pissant little battle that nobody else gives a shit about
