There was a camera pointed right at the tree that exploded even though he "walked" towards it after. This can only mean the tree recorded itself committing suicide.

BS I’ve been in woods in northern Alberta in -45C (which is colder than -45F) when trees would split in the cold. It would make you jump if you were standing right next to it when it happened but it was like a .22 round going off. The split would run vertically with the grain. It would not break against the grain. It wouldn’t bring the tree down like it got broke off in a wind storm.
