The one thing that could get me to say 'pull the plug' on McCarthy before he's started 20+ games is if he can't stay on the field A lot of great QBs have gone through struggles exactly like his but they stayed in the battle. You have to go through the fire and stay alive and come out the other side If McCarthy can't stay in the fire then he can't do the job
