🚨 Headline Police Shoot Dog After It Attacks Owner, Man Is Also Shot 📝 Description On October 26, 2025, Baltimore officers responded to a home on St. Paul Street after a report of an animal bite. Officers spoke with the 33-year-old owner, who said his dog was acting aggressively... and had bitten him. Officers attempted to have him secure the dog in another room, but were unsuccessful. The dog then attacked the owner inside the residence. The man managed to get outside while the dog continued attacking him. Two Baltimore officers opened fire, fatally wounding the dog and accidentally striking the owner in the leg. The man also suffered multiple dog bites and was transported to a hospital in stable condition. The Baltimore Police Department's Special Investigations Response Team is investigating the incident. 💬The officers were trying to stop the dog attack, but the owner was also struck. Police responded to a scene where a man collapsed after suffering a seizure and when good samaritans tried to help, couldn’t, due to the service dog not allowing anyone to get close to his owner as the dog likely believed they were trying to harm his owner. You really can’t blame the dog… he’s just doing what he was trained to do. Thankfully, police didn’t put the dog down and the man’s condition is currently unknown.

Moments later, the officers located an off-leash dog, what appeared to be a Husky/Shepherd mix, and the suspect, 29-year-old Trusten Eaton, who was the apparent owner.
