I wish to draw the attention of the Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare to the plight of accredited social activists, or ASHA workers, who are the unsung heroes of India's healthcare system. ASHA workers have played an instrumental role in improving maternal and child health, increasing immunization rates, and raising awareness about nutrition and sanitation. Their contributions are especially crucial during the Covid-19 pandemic, where they played a frontline role in the healthcare response. Moreover, we have identified cases of inflated outpatient claims, some as high as KSh 187,000, which point to clear fraud and abuse of the system. We will not tolerate the misuse of public resources meant to safeguard teachers' health. These funds belong to teachers and we are committed to protecting them. Teachers are urged to remain vigilant and report any irregular charges, as we work together to uphold accountability and ensure they receive their full benefits.
