Kyle Shanahan on Curtis Robinson: “He's really worked to get better each year, and he's a very talented guy. I think when he came here, he hadn't played in a system like this for a while. It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. He became a big asset on special teams, and last year was the first time that we really believed he was going to step in there, really contribute at linebacker at a high level. It was actually kind of a sad story, but it was about 20 minutes before he tours ACL, was the first time that I told him he'd be starting that week. It was his first start in his career, and he had earned it. We were going to move him ahead of Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles at the time. I had just told Flannigan, which was tough for Flannigan, but they were so tight, so he was happy for Curtis. Then it was about 20 minutes later that Curtis tore his ACL on special teams before he even got to a defensive rep. He was so coming in there and finally about to have his moment. They let go Deebo Samuel, Juan Jennings and in a way Brandon Aiyuk because they believe in Ricky Pearsal. RICKYYYYYY has played in 19 games and missed 14 games in his career including 6 due to a gun shot wound. So now the 49ers have brought in THE MOST UNDER-APPRECIATED WR IN NFL HISTORY in Mike Evans, but they need Ricky to be Mike’s Robin like Chris Godwin Jr was. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin Jr. combined for 20 touchdowns in 2020 when they won the Super Bowl. They both had 1,000 yards receiving in the same season 4 times and combined for 15 or more touchdowns 6 times in 9 years. That is the production the 49ers need from this WR group to keep up with the Seahawks and the Rams. Mike Evans even at 32 going on 33 years old, will still draw coverage. Ricky Pearsall has the talent to do it and showed flashes last year against the Seahawks and Cardinals when he had 104 and 117 yards receiving. He now has to make defenses respect him and show his 49ers teammates and the organization that he can stay healthy to be the guy they drafted him to be. If Ricky doesn’t show it this year, the 49ers won’t hesitate to give the reigns to 2nd round Rookie De’Zhaun Stribling who they believe was the best WR in this year’s draft. Financial guys, who were ki!!ing me every day. I'd been very successful in the running of a company, and I knew I was making something very, very special. So I would never take no for an answer. But they didn't understand what they had. You shoot it, and you edit it, and you mix it. And by the time you're halfway through, everyone's saying it's too slow. You've got to learn, as a director, you can't listen to anybody. I knew I was making something very, very special. And now it's one of the most important science-fiction films ever made which everybody feeds off. Every bloody film. I hadn't seen 'Blade Runner' for 20 years. Really. But I just watched it. And it's not slow. The information coming at you is so original and interesting, talking about biological creations, and mining off-world, which, in those days, they said was silly. I say, 'Go f**k yourself.' You know, 42 years ago, Pauline Kael saw 'Blade Runner,' and the article begins with: 'Oh, baby, let it rain.' which is a serious case of sarcasm. HapdZi Birthday, Sam! As many of you are aware, as part of this year's "Sam's Birthday Fundraiser" we have been raising funds for the dZi Foundation. The dZi foundation works along side communities in Nepal providing support, infrastructure, knowledge, education, and upskilling, whilst working towards sustainability and self-sufficiency. They are doing truly amazing work within these communities and I am so very glad that they are this year's recipient. Now for the exciting part! Drum roll, please... I am very proud to announce that we were able to raise $32, 290USD! Yes, you read that correctly! $32,290USD! Thank you to everyone who has donated, those who were cheerleaders, and those who were donators and cheerleaders. I am so incredibly proud of our community and I hope that you are too! You guys are fabulous! I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Jake Norton for sharing his love of Nepal and its people with us. By sharing his memories, and parts of his recent trip with Sam, we were able to have a personal connection with both the people and the places that our donations will benefit. What the hell is this? 🧐🤔😬😬😬😬 Witness states....👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 I’m an Uber driver (DFW) and I do night into mornings mostly. Nothing ever too out of the ordinary except for the occasional homeless. Tonight however was completely unexpected. It’s exactly 3 am and I’m 2 mins away from dropping this one guy off when I notice something in the road. I thought it was an animal at first glance but it turned out to be a child! It just stood there. My rider pulled out his phone to start recording too. Neither of us really knew what to do and for a moment thought about helping the kid out. Then the child started these demented movements and it was at that point we both just decided this was some bad bad mojo. I dropped off the guy and literally 2 mins later I got pulled over by a cop because I had a headlight out. I told him what street I saw the child at and showed him the video. He immediately left to go and check it out. I’m still a little shocked by this and I’ve felt extremely uneasy since it happened. I’m going to go home and get some sleep.

My son Haitham used to receive physical therapy regularly… three sessions per week, and that was our only hope to see improvement in his hand, which has not moved since his birth But today… everything has stopped. Because we are unable to pay the cost of the treatment, Haitham could not attend his sessions this week… and with that, the treatment has stopped, and hope is slowly fading. My son, who was born with a dislocation in his right shoulder and a fracture in the clavicle, has lived since his very first moment with pain and disability… facing every day an unbearable difficulty in the simplest movements. And I… stand helpless in front of his suffering. Bo was kind of sitting outside the locker room, leaning up against the wall. His wife, his parents, his family there, I think Stiddy, a few others. And I just asked him how he was doing, 'Are you hanging in there?' And I said to you guys last night, this is a strong-minded individual. Obviously it was disappointing right at that moment to get to this point. And so, that's essentially what took place after the game."

I came across this video of a young lady that was weeping during a priestly ordination in one of the dioceses in Nigeria last week Saturday. As expected, it attracted all kinds of reactions. Some immediately concluded that she was crying because "her boyfriend had left her to become a priest," along with many other dismissive comments. Those reactions are not the focus of this post. Perhaps I'll address them another day. What caught my attention was the explanation of someone who knew the young lady and her family and was present at the ordination. He shared that the lady weeping in the video and the newly ordained priest are the only two children in their family. The priest ordained that day was her only brother and seeing him ordained got her emotional. Many people may not understand that emotion, but I do. It reminds me of my own ordination to the diaconate. My mum cried almost throughout the entire Mass (Perhaps, if that scene were caught on the camera, someone might have concluded that it was a sugar mummy crying because her sugar son left her to become a priest😁). You see, people often think priestly ordination is only a joyful celebration. It is. But for many families, it is also a moment of profound sacrifice. From the day a man is ordained, he belongs to God in a new and irrevocable way. It does not mean he stops loving his family or cuts ties with them. But then, his life is no longer his own. His availability, his time, his heart, and his ministry are now given to the whole Church. Even when a priest visits his family during his vacation, he soon realizes he is no longer simply "at home." He returns as a son, certainly, but also as a priest. His parish becomes his home, and the people entrusted to his care become his family. This quiet sacrifice is one of the hidden dimensions of the priestly vocation. It is rarely spoken about, yet it is deeply real, not only for the priest, but also for those who love him most. Fr. Yesterday I was moving into a new apartment, and I had some help from a couple of guys who do moving work. I first noticed something when I went to pick them up at Home Depot. While talking to the older man, he received a call and answered, “Yes, commander, I’ll call you back.” I ignored it at first. Fast forward to when we got home and started loading and moving stuff. Another call came in from the same “commander,” this time on speaker. The moment I heard the voice, I knew something was wrong, and the man didn’t realize it. On the phone, they were asking him for $2,000, saying the girl he was supposed to marry next week was sick and needed money for treatment, even though she’s supposedly a military nurse according to her profile. I signaled him and muted the call. I told him to ask for the commander’s name, and he did. The guy said his name was “Marthin” and then “Martinez” 😂. I took the phone and said something, and the scammer immediately hung up when he heard my accent. A few minutes later, he called again, asking why the man had handed the phone to someone else and claiming it was against their “security rules.” I took the phone again and cursed him out. I told the man to block them, which he did. Then he showed me many more messages he’d been receiving. The man was already far gone into the scam. I’m glad I was able to stop him from being scammed. These people really work hard for their money, really hard. I told him it’s better to get a new phone line.
