Incident from Bhadrachalam. Why is a converted 🍚 💼 employed in Bhadrachalam Sita Rama temple as a temple sweeper? As soon as Hindus have lit Kartika Deepam, this converted cleaning woman removed them all and shouting at Bhakths. She is threatening Bhakths to go and “tell whoever they want”. Where is she getting that arrogance from? Local MLA and EO of the temple, Tellam Venkatrao, is also a crypto and employed converts in the temple. Shame on Hindus for allowing a convert to be our temple’s EO. Who knows how much money is misused. There are many like her working in and around Bhadrachalam temple. (Bhadrachalam is completely in conversion Mafia’s grip) I’m disappointed in these Hindus. They should have ‘treated’ her ‘nicely’. Storytime with Benjamin and one of his very big babies — volume up! 🔊 Benjamin and Rapsu have known each other for more than two decades. Benjamin, who is Head Keeper of our Ithumba Reintegration Unit, has been with us for 25 years. Rapsu was rescued 20 years ago from Meru National Park, as a starving, frightened orphan. He grew up in our care — first at the Nairobi Nursery, then at Ithumba — before reclaiming his place in the wild. But as you can see, he has never forgotten the place and the people that are home. As Benjamin says, Rapsu has been away for some time, but he comes back now and then, just in appreciation. It is an incredible testament that a bull elephant entering his prime, like Rapsu, chooses to return home and visit the people who raised him. As we are reminded time and again, family is everything to elephants — and to Rapsu, Benjamin is family. Meet Rapsu:

We make the same promise to every elephant we rescue: To nurture them through their infancy, giving them the confidence and competence to ultimately reclaim their place in the wild. But even after they have grown up and established their independent lives, our orphans continue to return 'home' to the people who raised them. They come back to us in times of trouble — seeking help for an injury or even bringing back wild friends in need. They also return in times of celebration — nearly every ex-orphan mum has chosen to introduce us to her wild offspring. Family is everything to elephants. It's everything to us, too: Our founder, Dame Daphne Sheldrick, was the first person in the world to successfully raise infant orphaned African elephants. Today, her legacy continues through both her own family, who proudly build upon the conservation foundations she laid, and the generations of orphaned elephants charting their own history in the wilds of Kenya. 🚨 Pepper, a beloved 16-year-old shop dog from Graham, Washington, has been missing since 6 AM yesterday. This loyal senior girl has never been a wanderer. She spends every day at the family business, waiting by the shop and greeting them every morning with tail wags and happy barks. But yesterday… she wasn’t there. Her heartbroken owner is currently in New Jersey with family and feels completely helpless being thousands of miles away. The family has alerted neighbors, posted in local groups, and done everything they can from afar — but Pepper needs more eyes. #HazaraRama temple is one of the most beautiful temples of #hampi. As the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to #ShriRam. It was once the private temple of the royal family of Vijayanagara. Located right inside the royal residential quarter, the temple is famous for its bas relief panels depicting the story of #Ramayana. Hazara Rama Temple was built in the early part of the 15th century by the then king of Vijayanagara, Devaraya II. The interior of the Sabhamandapa has ornately sculpted columns in black stone reminiscent of the Chalukya architecture, while the temple itself is built from local granite. The garbhgriha is now empty, but the pedestal inside has three holes that prove that the temple once had Vigraha of Rama, Lakshmana and Sita inside the garbhgriha. Like most Hindu temples in Hampi, this too was looted, vandalized and desecrated in 1565 after the defeat of the Vijayanagara empire by the combined forces of the Deccan Muslim Sultanates. However, what remains is still impressive. The front side of the temple has bas reliefs of dancers, elephant and horse processions, musicians and the royals participating in the Dushhera festival. The sides have exquisite bas relief panels of the Ramayana, starting from King Dashratha shooting an arrow and mistakenly killing Shravana. There are panels of the Putrakameshi Yagya, Dasaratha giving the payas to his 3 wives, his four sons being born, Vishwamitra taking Rama and Lakshmana with him, Rama breaking the bow during swayamvara, Sita Kalyanam, all the way to Shriram killing Ravana! For a small temple, the Hazara Rama temple is very impressive in its sculptural wealth. I really wish that someday, the temple will be living again, with new Vigrahas installed on the garbhgriha. We need our temples back, not soulless stone museums! This family, mother and father and their two adult daughters get together every year for a vacation. But when it time to leave and part ways, well, it gets pretty emotional for them, especially for dad. This family is rich in life and I can feel that father’s sadness. Those girls are his whole life. Time is fleeting, you never know when the last hug or goodbye will be. 💔 Do you ever get teary eyed when it’s time for your adult children to go back home during the holidays or family vacations? Or do you keep a straight face and just soldier on?

Veteran Cecilia Reed is 58 years old and she has been carrying her son on her back because the system failed them. Darrick Jr. has cerebral palsy and scoliosis. She did everything right and still had to fight for months just to get a working wheelchair lift installed at their home. A mother's love and determination would not be denied. That lift is finally in place and this family can now travel in and out of their home with dignity.

MISSING 14 YEAR OLD GIRL PLEASE SHARE A fresh appeal has been made for a missing 14-year-old girl who has not been seen for two weeks. A close family friend, Jessica Fensome, made a video message pleading with Lexi to get in touch and come home. Lexi has not been seen since leaving her home in Houghton Regis two weeks ago, on June 24. Miss Fensome said: 'Lexi, your family and friends all miss you. Please get in contact with your mum, the police or me and come home. 'You're not in any trouble; we just want you home safe.' Ring doorbell footage from the day was released by Bedfordshire Police last week in an attempt to jog the memories of anyone who may have seen her on the day she went missing. Lexi is described as 5'2' with a fair complexion, blue eyes and long straight ginger hair. She has a silver nose ring, and was last seen wearing pale blue cycling shorts, a dark grey t-shirt and black sliders. Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Rivers from Bedfordshire Police said: 'We are still urging anyone who knows of Lexi's whereabouts or has seen her to please get in contact with us. 'We are growing increasingly concerned for her and want to reunite her with her family. 'Lexi – please contact us, Jessica or your family; we want you to return home safe and well.'

Nothing but the truth. Our experience in this country for 400+ years is not important for them.. the oldest family member in my family she’s 96 years old. Before that my oldest family member who died last year she was 99 years old. I also lost her great Grant who was 90 years old.. My mom is still alive.. it is just 60+ years that Black people starting to experience some real sense of freedom in this country. The civil rights laws was 1964 and 65.. and Trump said, it discriminate against white people. When white people were discriminated against Black people. they were making large they deliberately abuse, Black people. Donald Trump knows what it looks like and feels like in Jim Crow America cause he benefit from it. And that is why he’s pushing to bring back Jim Crow 2.0.

One of the most marginalized communities in Gaza right now are people with disabilities. Unfortunately their conditions remain terrible with no sufficient support. Ruba is 16 years old and has a mental disability and her sister Mariam is 8 years old and suffers from brain atrophy. Mariam sits in a barrel all day so that she doesn’t run away. And Ruba as you can see bites on to her blanket. Their tent leaks and allows the wind in keeping the girls and their family cold. And they don’t have many of their basic needs. Our team did an assessment and we hope to go back and provide some relief for Ruba, Mariam and their family. Support the South campaign to help this case and similar ones:

In times of adversity, it is faith that lights our path and gives us courage. Today, I had the privilege of visiting the sacred Mahakal Temple in Darjeeling, where I prayed for the health, peace, and prosperity of the people of Bengal and our nation at large. May the divine grace of the Almighty provide strength to those affected by the recent floods and landslides in North Bengal, helping them overcome their losses and rebuild their lives. May hope return to every home, may happiness touch every heart, and may stability once again embrace their lives. Rescue and rehabilitation efforts are still continuing in full swing; our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkaar is committed to ensuring that every affected person receives the help and support they need. As we have already established Jagannath Dham in Digha and are developing the Durga Angan in New Town, it is our vision to soon build a magnificent Mahakal Temple in Siliguri as well. This will not only stand as a beacon of faith and devotion but also as a symbol of Bengal’s spiritual unity and inclusive cultural identity. Joy Bangla!

On our way back to Nairobi, we made a stop at Anita’s home. We had carried a few shopping items for little Talisha. It was not an easy visit the home is still heavy with grief. Talisha, just a young child, is going through a very difficult moment. Together with the house help, she witnessed the tragic loss of her mother. Yesterday, she seemed withdrawn, quiet, and not her usual self, after the family gently broke the heartbreaking news to her that her mum is no longer in the hospital and will not be coming back, for she has gone to rest. In her innocence, whenever she missed her mum, she kept saying, “Let’s go to the hospital and see mum.” That alone broke our hearts. We spent some time with her and the family. We talked, we comforted them as best as we could, and most importantly, we prayed together. In moments like these, sometimes prayer is the only thing that can offer even the smallest bit of strength. After that, we began our journey back to Nairobi. Let us continue to keep Talisha and the entire family in our prayers. They need strength, healing, and love during this painful time. Thank you, everyone.
