This works. I saved my husband by doing this. Also a few drops of hot cayenne liquid under the tongue.

This claim is false and dangerous. There is no scientific evidence that slapping or tapping the inner elbow can treat or prevent a heart attack. Heart attacks occur when blood flow to the heart is blocked, and the only effective treatments are medical interventions like emergency medical services (calling 911), CPR if needed, and rapid hospital care such as cardiac catheterization to open blocked arteries. The viral video and message suggesting this method—often falsely claimed to have occurred in Singapore—were originally filmed in China and are part of a misinformation campaign. Experts, including cardiologists and health organizations like the American Heart Association, the German Heart Foundation, and the World Health Organization, confirm that relying on this method wastes critical time and can lead to death.

"While speaking to the AFP, Dr Christiane Tiefenbacher, chief physician of the clinic for cardiology and vascular medicine at the Marien-Hospital Wesel in Germany, says that elbow clapping is not a proper first aid method or treatment for heart attacks. She also said that according to current scientific knowledge, there is no evidence that slapping the elbow would help to dilute a blood clot in heart vessels or increase blood supply to the heart. "Dr Lin Wei-Wan, a cardiologist from Taiwan Adventist Hospital, has also debunked this recurring claim. He stated, “I don’t think there’s any medical basis for it. When a heart attack occurs, it’s an acute coronary syndrome, and in principle we don’t recommend subjecting patients to any additional stimulation.” "Dr. Charan Lanjewar, a cardiologist who said heart attacks are caused by blockages in blood vessels and slapping the elbow will not clear a blockage." "“There’s no valid scientific evidence that supports that any kind of touching, tapping, squeezing, poking of your elbow, or any body part at all, can stop a heart attack in progress,” said David Schopfer, M.D., a cardiologist at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). Payal Kohli, M.D., an associate adjunct professor in the cardiology division at Duke University, agrees." "The elbow pit slapping method is based on traditional Chinese medicine belief that there are three acupressure (meridian) points around the left arm, that affects the heart and lungs. The idea is that slapping the left elbow pit, until it turns red, will restore qi (energy) and blood circulation to the heart and lungs. It also claims that slapping the left elbow pit on a daily basis can prevent heart disease, and reduce the risk of a heart attack."

Give proper credit. The term is Paida Lajin. Look it up. There's more to it than just heart relief. Its supposed to also open up the lung meridian.

jeez the kind of crap being promoted by Twitter(X) these days..and it got 328k views...X is really a shithole! Those of us with sites with peer reviewed studies get shadowbanned...somebody should sue x for promoting dangerous and fake medical information..

This paida slapping thing seems wild, but cardiologists and fact-checks say there's no real evidence it works for heart attacks and it might just delay life-saving stuff like CPR or calling emergency services. +1 The guy who promoted it even got convicted for manslaughter after people died skipping proper care. What's your take on mixing traditional methods with modern meds?

This is traditional Chinese medicine. I heard it so many years ago, but don't know if it works. please go to ER or call 911 for chest pain. you don't want use your life to prove that works or not.

Slapping or tapping the inner elbow is a myth and cannot treat or prevent a heart attack, according to experts. Relying on this action instead of seeking immediate emergency care can be dangerous. Effective, scientifically validated actions include calling emergency services.

Grok says this post is BS f you're experiencing symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or discomfort in the upper body, seek professional medical attention right away.Delaying real help for unproven methods like this could worsen outcomes or prove +1

This is misleading. People may die because of your unverified sharing. Elbow clapping cannot save you from heart attack. There is no scientific evidence supporting it. Heart attack happens when your arteries to heart get blocked or ruptured. How can flapping elbow fix this?
