If you’re a Muslim living in India, you’ve definitely experienced what this movie scene shows. The majority community has this habit of putting others down — earlier it was Dalits, now the same attitude has shifted towards Muslims. Honestly, nothing has changed… this mindset is built into them somewhere. One of the most common things Hindu friends say during an India vs Pakistan match is: “So… who are you supporting today?” They say it like a joke, like it’s “light banter,” but deep down there’s hatred. Maybe it’s the kind of stuff they hear at home during dinner conversations — the stereotypes, the discrimination, the casual bigotry — it all shows. They carry this rotten mindset where Muslims are automatically treated like outsiders or enemies. And what’s ironic? Even after witnessing thousands of riots, lynchings, and killings across the country, we Muslims still haven’t developed that kind of hate for them. We still see them as part of our country, but they never truly see us the same way. I’ve gone through this myself. Ever since this current regime came to power, I’ve lost childhood friends — literally people I grew up with, shared lunch with, people who used to come to my house on Eid. But during the Shaheen Bagh protests, just because I said the law was discriminatory, they suddenly started spitting venom. I was called anti-national, Pakistani, terrorist — everything — just because I didn’t support their favourite political party. Honestly, I’m glad I saw their real faces. And the funniest part? The same friends who used to blindly defend the government have now started criticizing it — because they finally got a reality check. College life was easy, but once they entered jobs, responsibilities, and real life, suddenly the “regime” didn’t look so perfect anymore. But we’re not on talking terms anymore — and I’m actually happier that way...

Can the U.S. Extradite Canadian Politicians for Corruption? Insights from the Leading Expert on Extradition Law In this exclusive extended interview, Dr. Gary Botting (PhD in Law, PhD in English), a 30-year former Criminal Defence Lawyer and author of the leading textbook on Extradition Law, provides expert insights on transnational government corruption, the U.S.-Canada extradition process, and the shortcomings of modern journalism. Dr. Botting explains the escalating nature of corruption in an allegory: "It's like a snowball—you start rolling it down the hill, it's all big fun, but all of a sudden, it becomes an avalanche. And there is a car down below, and the avalanche hits the car, knocks it into a train, and the train goes off the tracks and rolls into a house… Where does it start and where does it end? But the point is, look at the kids throwing the snowballs, I guess, first, and work your way down until something significant—where there is intention to defraud, intention to act corruptly, to siphon off federal funds so the little businessman doesn't get the advantage of that, but only the huge megalithic corporations. That's where this problem begins and ends, I think. The investigation into whether the megalithic corporation—tied to corporate greed and connected to Canada’s cabinet—is actually functioning in a way that is detrimental to Canadians and, ultimately, to Americans as well." Dr. Botting criticizes the mainstream media for failing to dig deep enough into corruption: "Having been an investigative reporter myself, it's a lost art, I think, unfortunately. I write novels, legal texts, and that's challenging enough, but what needs to happen is the writing of an exposé to show exactly what has happened here in the case of the [Gordie Howe International] Bridge and the [Regina] Bypass, and how corruption is alive and well in Canada." Sections of this interview were released last year for the Gordie Howe International Bridge Scandal report. To mark it's anniversary, we are releasing the extended version of this interview with valuable insights from Dr. Botting. Follow and support Media Bezirgan for more quality journalism.

Big Loon Told OMB Peezy This About Streamers A Year Before Akademiks Big Loon sits down with OMB Peezy and questions the whole “100K on stream” flex. Before DJ Akademiks started calling rappers “lame” for streaming and Soulja Boy clapped back, Loon was already telling Peezy that if you really have 100K people watching you live, the charts should be shaking in real time. In this convo from It’s Up There Podcast, Loon breaks down: – why crazy live viewer counts don’t match first-week sales – how the algorithm can make numbers look bigger than your real fanbase – why streamers need rappers for culture more than rappers need streamers – how labels treat streamers like “interesting casting,” but still chase artists who can really move units This is the conversation that was a year early on the streamer vs rapper debate everybody’s having now. Tap in and watch Loon explain the math behind the clout, the charts and the cap. A YEAR before everybody started debating rappers vs streamers, Big Loon sat with OMB Peezy and said, “If 100K people REALLY watching you live… we should see the charts move in real time.” Now DJ Akademiks saying rappers look lame for streaming and Soulja Boy clapping back — but the math Loon talked about on #ItsUpTherePodcast already covered this. Streamers got the eyeballs. Rappers still got the VALUE. 🧠 #ItsUpTherePodcast #BigLoon #OMBPezy #Akademiks #SouljaBoy #Streamers #Rappers #HipHopCulture #MusicBusiness #PodcastClips #bigloon #itsuptherepodcast #ombpeezy #djAkademiks #souljaboy #streamersvsrappers #100kstream #musicindustry #hiphopprincess

Back in March, Fede Gomez had hit rock bottom. He was on a huge losing streak and in a very dark place mentally, opening up in an emotional letter to his fans (posted below) about how he was not only considering retiring from tennis, but had even reached the point of contemplating suicide. Today, he just made the US Open main draw for the first time in his career. He came into Queens with major fitness and health concerns, having not played in over a month after being forced to retire with an injury vs Pavlovic. Qualifying for the main draw was a long shot, to say the least. In Round 1, he shocked Klein as a +550 underdog. In Round 2, he pulled another upset against rising star Cina as a +240 dog. In Round 3, he was down a set and 0-4 to Grenier The feel-good story of the tournament had almost surely come to a painful end. But Fede fought. With his back against the wall, he stormed back to win five of the next six games, miraculously getting the match back on serve Grenier managed to stop the bleeding at 5-5 and again put Gomez right up against it, needing a hold to keep his US Open dream alive He stared down match point at 5-6 30-40, one false move away from going home But Fede fought. And fought. Until he found himself celebrating in front of the frenzied crowd on Court 10, taking it all in after having completed the unlikeliest of comebacks to cap off one of the most magical qualifying runs you’ll ever see Look how much it means. This was so much more than just a match It was undeniable proof of why you never, EVER give up. Tennis is the greatest sport in the world 🥲

To the "Don't Split the Vote Crowd". I see your anger at PPC voters, lashing out that we're going to split the vote, and "destroy Canada". My 2 cents, you're actually mad at the party you say you support, because deep down you know that they're going to disappoint you again. They won't debate, or they don't speak up when candidates from other parties are excluded from debates. They insult your intelligence by distilling policy down to three or four word slogans, which they repeat day in and day out for months, while only releasing their full platform after advance polling is done. How cynical is that, that they expect you to vote for them without even giving you a chance to evaluate their platform, with less than a week until you vote? None of their candidates are allowed to say anything but normally just retweet the Leader's tweets. Remember how they treated Christine Anderson? These are the people who will make Canada "The Freest Country on Earth"? You know or will find out soon that their party actually is as globalist as the Libs and that their goals are the same, that's why there's virtually no daylight between the two parties, and that previous CPC PMs signed us up for Agenda 21 and 2030. Are you happy about how your government has treated you over the last five years? How did you like being treated like a criminal if you refused to take a jab, or took it to keep your job or stay in university, even if you didn't want to? How did you like the silence from the "Opposition"? Did you feel like anyone had your back? Do you remember Maxime Bernier and his unwavering support during covid and the trucker convoy, as well as other #PPC candidates? How do you like Drag Queen Story Hour or explicit materials being provided to your young child? How did you like all of the federal MPs falling into line, while your provincial governments locked you up and enforced vax passports & SOGI? Did any of you actually VOTE for this? Or has it been imposed on you by the people you voted for to represent YOU in the House of Commons. How do you like all MPs ignoring the vax injured or dead, and the fact that there's still no accountability for the actions taken during Covid in Canada, unlike other countries? Break the Spell. See the Reality. We Can't Pretend that the Last Five Years Did Not Happen. Vote with your Heart, Vote for Something Different, Vote PPC. Show them that the Status Quo is unacceptable.
