Sardinia has some of the clearest water in the world, but do you know why? The sea around it is naturally low in nutrients, so there’s less algae and plankton clouding the water. Its rocky coastline and pale sand also mean less muddy runoff, while underwater seagrass helps trap sediment. Then sunlight hits the shallow, light-colored bottom and reflects back through already-clear water. That’s how you get that insane turquoise color. Basically, Sardinia isn’t using a filter. God just left the saturation slider up.
