A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle in southern Utah came to a quick end when a Washington County sheriff's deputy deployed a Grappler Police Bumper, wrapping a tether around the vehicle's rear tire. The pursuit began Wednesday after police were alerted to a vehicle reported stolen out of California entering Utah on I-15 from Arizona. Officers moved in to conduct a felony vehicle stop, but the driver took off, driving dangerously and weaving into oncoming traffic. There was no pursuit, however, the driver continued driving dangerously and eventually crashed into another vehicle near Linn Lane and Lake Mead Blvd. The person in that vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but thankfully, there were no serious injuries. The driver ran into a nearby backyard, but LVMPD's AIR5 guided officers to his location. He surrendered and was taken into custody.
