I was honestly thinking dark white.

Its the meaning of the words he wrote. When your mind things a word it gives you a photographic memory of it, the sea is blue, ice is blue-ish. The sky is also blue. So because of those images it pulled out it was already stuck on the color blue.

Had he written leaves, grass anything with green your mind would have given you green.
