Parsi: There is no doubt that we have now, after 20 years of hearing from the hawks, that the only solution is to go to war, we tried it. One third of the U.S. Navy was there in the region. This was not a small operation. This was a major operation short of an actual invasion, and it failed. There is just no doubt that the military operation was not a success. And hopefully, at a minimum, we will not be having that debate again. It has now been settled. It's no longer a theoretical or academic topic. It has been tried, proven to be a failure.

It just takes a readiness to set up a court that fits this country. We could have 13 seats matching the district structure of the federal judiciary, but also a process that makes it less partisan. We cannot have partisan warfare every time there's an opening on the court

I think he made it very clear that we are the recipients of a proposal that was delivered to one of our representatives. It is not our recommendation. It is not our peace plan. It is a proposal that was received and, as an intermediary, we have made arrangements to share it. We did not release it — it was leaked. It was not released by our members or our representatives.

Wolf: What hasn’t been discussed publicly, to my knowledge, is the fact that, in my opinion, President Trump committed a crime in negotiating the settlement agreement in this case and it’s possible that Mr. Blanche would be found to be a co-conspirator in that crime. Let me try to explain… Congress enacted a statute that makes it illegal for the president or the vice president to directly or indirectly request the initiation or termination of a tax investigation. There’s a potential five-year prison term for violating that statute. Donald Trump would not have immunity from criminal prosecution for violating that statute in this case because he filed this lawsuit in his personal capacity. Therefore, negotiating the settlement was not an official act for which he has immunity as president. So, in this case, he was negotiating essentially with himself. As Judge Williams said in Trump v. IRS—a case in which I’m one of the 35 plaintiffs who, through excellent lawyers, persuaded the court to reopen the case and find that this was not a genuine case—it wasn’t a real case or controversy that was legitimately in federal court. It was a collusive case brought for an improper purpose: to get a personal benefit for President Trump, his family, and his allies.

Hegseth on Sept 2nd Strike: I stayed for probably five minutes or so after but at that point it was a tactical operation and I moved on to other things. A couple hours later, I was told there had to be a re-attack because there were a couple of folks who could still be in the fight, access to radios… I said, Roger, sounds good. From what I understood then and what I understand now, I fully support that strike. I would have made the same call myself.

That tells you just how special this place was, that someone as iconic and important to our culture as Dolly Parton was honored to be receiving an award from this place. This is just a unique American institution that does not deserve what has happened to it. It’s vitally important that we stop them from turning it into a hole in the ground like they did the East Wing.
