it’s code for pushing a nationalist, whitewashed version of history that sidelines systemic issues like racism or inequality. Real education teaches critical thinking, not flag-waving propaganda. Kids deserve truth, not indoctrination.

A better understanding of history wouldn't go amiss at all - but maybe not the "history" Hegseth seems to prefer
