Heidegger had already warned us about technology.

Except when technology served the nazi crematoria

I don't think Heidegger is warning us against technology itself. Rather, he is warning us against a way of thinking that cannot see beyond what technology makes possible, or the particular understanding of the world that its development encourages.

Heidegger’s criticism of technology was true for the technology of his time and probably ours as well, but that doesn’t mean all forms of futuristic technology is bad, as he failed to account for types of science that developed after him like godelian incompleteness

Se você quer ver um exame realista e abrangente para além da tecnologia, tem que ler Jacques Ellul. Não há nenhum outro autor que entendeu a questão da técnica moderna e sua relação com a sociedade e o homem como Ellul.

What means "to think" to the average man, now that IA has a potential of "resolving" basic, average, everyday tasks?

where is this from? 3sat I see

He could've warned us about the Nazis.
