More coverage of the behaviour of a medical professional, Dr Sophie Quinney, at the One Year Later counter protest in Cardiff on Saturday 👇 It appears that the film-maker (visit may have had his camera knocked out of his hand, and was alleging an assault. Why didn't the police act on this? Dr Quinney was part of the Welsh Government expert advisory group on their LGBTQ+ plan, which claimed to aspire to make Wales 'the most friendly LGBTQ+ nation'. Well, she doesn't look very friendly!

Kitty Pryde is becoming one of my favorite characters in X men evolution because of how much she cares for her fellow mutants, she was the one to shake Logan free from the mind control & now she set up a whole plan to help Hank deal with his issues all on the fly, she’s awesome

Why do UEFA make the players warm up in front of the wheelchair section? Liverpool FC should push back on it. But most of all, why did Trent act like a dick? He wasn’t going to move out of the way until he was basically shamed into doing so, then still held his hands out 🤦‍♂️

In 1799 a black and white kitten fell overboard from a British ship in the Indian Ocean. He swam back and climbed the rope himself. His captain named him Trim and made him his companion. Trim became the first cat to circumnavigate Australia sailing 18,000 miles of unmapped coastline. Their ship hit a reef and sank. Trim swam to safety and spent seven weeks on a desert island keeping the crew's spirits up. When his captain was imprisoned by the French as a spy Trim shared his captivity. One day Trim went exploring and never came back. His heartbroken captain wrote him a biography from his prison cell. It read: the most affectionate of friends faithful of servants and best of creatures. He was a cat. 🐱

See Diana's handsome boy at 42, now😍 Lovely to hear the Prince of Wales practice his Welsh for St David's day. Rebecca English confirmed that William is not taking any professional lessons but rather, He has been learning conversational Welsh. This Man is gifted and is never afraid to learn essential skills for his success as Future King🤩 When Prince Charles, his father was sent off to study at Aberystwyth University in 1969, to learn some Welsh ahead of his investiture as Prince of Wales, he came as an English Prince attempting to get to know the Welsh people better. Thus, He was not well received initially by those in Wales who felt there was no longer a place for an English prince with few links to the country, gaining a title last held by a Welshman, Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, in 1282🔥 It took years of consistency, for Wales to warm up to their Prince of Wales and eventually, Prince Charles became a beloved figure in Wales. When it came to Prince William, he decided to have an introduction to Wales that was more seamless and Less royal in nature. Indeed, William's first introduction to Wales was not as Prince of Wales, Prince William arrived in Wales in 2010, as a working member of the RAF SAR military community there to serve those around him🔥 It is a tremedous distinction that helped his seamless adoption and popularity in Wales. It was there that he risked his life piloting high risks missions along his teammates to serve and save 149 lives off the Welsh coast❤️‍🩹 Welsh historian, Prof Merfyn Jones weighed on the topic in a BBC article years ago saying: "Clearly the Royal Family were not going to repeat these difficult times with William; and so his introduction to Wales was very, very different, working from RAF Valley as a helicopter pilot, living locally," "People did bump into him in the supermarkets and so on, it was a very, very different experience [to Charles' time at Aberystwyth]."🔥 The professor added: "One has to conclude to some extent at least this was a deliberate way of William getting to know Wales and for Wales to get to know him but in a very low-key way, in a very relaxed sort of manner." "And it appears that it has been remarkably successful, both locally in Anglesey and more generally in the response of the British public to William, who is clearly extremely popular with the people of Britain."🤩 Indeed, it is quite remarkable how, for someone as reserved and private as Prince William is, he has a natural way to put people at ease and genuinely connect with all he meets. His popularity is organic becaue he is very seamless and genuine in his ways😍 Thus, Gwilym O Jones, an Anglesey councillor and former chair of the council, also remembers former colleagues of his who moved to work at RAF Valley as civilian staff calling William an "ordinary guy". "He was very popular, you know, he was one of the boys. Obviously people in the area were interested when they heard that he was coming to Anglesey of all places. But He lived in a very low-key way in a very relaxed manner."❤️ "There's a go-karting circuit not far from the RAF base and he was seen there; he was seen on his way to work in the morning calling in [to the local shop] for a newspaper, things like that."😍 The councillor added: "People were pleased to see him, [they] were very pleased to see his wife as well, obviously. They weren't hounded by the press and the media. They were allowed to do their own thing. I think that's why they really enjoyed their stay in Anglesey."❤️ Indeed, Prince William's attachement to Wales goes beyond simply being a prince of Wales to being a significant place on his love story with Catherine 1/2

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧 In 1839 the farmers of West Wales were being crushed alive. So they put on dresses. And declared war. Their name was Rebecca. 🪓 West Wales. 1839. Rent to the landlord. Tithes to the English Church. And on every road, a tollgate. You couldn't move without paying. On the night of 13 May 1839 a crowd appeared at the Efailwen tollgate in Pembrokeshire. Every single one of them was dressed as a woman. Long skirts. Bonnets. Shawls. Work boots visible beneath the hems. Their leader stood at the front. They called her Rebecca. The name came from the Bible. Genesis 24:60. "Let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them." They destroyed the gate. The trust rebuilt it. Rebecca came back. They destroyed it again. The trust rebuilt it a second time. Rebecca destroyed it a third time. The trust gave up. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 By 1843 the raids had spread across all of west Wales. Two hundred and fifty tollhouses destroyed. Two thousand people marched on the Carmarthen workhouse and tried to burn it down. Nobody knew who Rebecca was. That was the point. Everyone was Rebecca. One person died. Sarah Williams. Seventy-five years old. The keeper of the Hendy tollgate, Carmarthenshire. On the night of September 9th 1843 Rebecca came for her gate. She was ordered to leave. She refused. They set fire to the tollhouse. She walked to her neighbour's door. She said: "Dear, dear." And fell down dead. Those who were caught were transported to Tasmania. Never to return. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 In 1844, Parliament passed the South Wales Turnpike Trusts Act. The hated toll on lime was halved. The trusts were brought to heel. Two hundred and fifty gates destroyed. One act of Parliament. The farmers won. Nobody knows who Rebecca was. Nobody was ever identified as the leader. Everyone was Rebecca. Did they teach you their story? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧 Nobody keeps these stories alive. Unless we all do. 👉 Be Part Of Us. Be Proud Of Us. 🇬🇧

Here are 3 ways that the current system screws over Wales. If politicians are not talking about these issues, they are not serious about fixing Wales' problems. ---------- 1. The Welsh Gov has less borrowing powers than a council. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Wales can only borrow £150m a year (and £1bn in total). That is the equivalent of just 0.57% of our budget. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scotland can borrow £450m a year (and £3bn in total). This makes it really hard for Wales to make big investments like building hospitals and schools unless we use super expensive funding models like PFI. The worst thing is, Scotland's borrowing rates have increased with inflation every year since 2016 whereas Wales' have been frozen! ---------- 2. Wales’ can’t even spend its own money If Wales makes good financial decisions and has money left at the end of the year, it is only allowed to carry over a very small amount. The total the Welsh Government can have in the reserve is £350m. While that might sound like a lot, it really isn’t in a government context. The Welsh Government’s budget is £27bn. This means that the Welsh reserve is just 1.35% of its budget. And that £350m isn’t per year, that is the total it can carry. This means that if the Welsh Government reserve is full, then any money that isn’t spent is just taken back by the Treasury in Westminster. What makes this system even worse is that the UK Treasury has imposed limits on how much of its own reserves Wales can even use! Of the £350m Wales can only access £175m a year. Scotland has a reserve of £700m AND it has no limit on how much of that it can spend. Plus yet again, Scotland’s was linked to inflation whereas Wales’ wasn’t. There is simply no justification for Wales being treated differently to Scotland. The UK Government isn’t able to get away with treating Scotland like Wales because the Scots wouldn’t stand for it. ---------- 3. Rail Because rail is devolved in Scotland, when the UK Government spends money in England on rail, Scotland gets extra cash. Scotland gets billions of pounds in extra funding because of HS2 (which is only in England). But because rail isn’t devolved to Wales, the Treasury can class HS2 as an “England and Wales project” meaning Wales gets nothing. It is worse than that. Because HS2 is counted as a Welsh project, it stops Wales getting extra money in the future because on the spreadsheet it looks like Wales has already had investment (even though it all went to England). ---------- You could have the best politicians in the world in Cardiff Bay but they still couldn’t fix Wales’ problems because the tools at their disposal are not fit for purpose. The challenges Wales faces are not because of immigrants, they are because the system of funding we have is set up so that we can’t fail to fail.

A medieval woman walks out of her marriage with half of everything. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧 And the law is on her side. This is Wales, over 1,000 years ago.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 The Welsh called it Cyfraith Hywel. The Law of Hywel. It carries the name of Hywel ap Cadell, the king Wales still calls Hywel the Good, who came to rule more of Wales than any king before him. The story the old law books tell: around 945 he summoned lawmen from every corner of Wales to a white hall on the river Taf, and there the laws of the Welsh were set in order. ⚖️ Open that book and a different Middle Ages looks back. An insult had a price in silver: sarhaed. And a woman held her price in her own name. A husband who struck his wife without cause paid for the blow, to her and no one else. Marriage was an agreement between 2 people. If a husband strayed, the law made him pay his wife, 120 silver pence the first time, a pound the second. A third time, and she could walk away. After 7 years of marriage, the law counted everything a couple owned as shared, and if it ended, she took her half and went. By right. Children born outside marriage, acknowledged by the father, inherited like any other. The father's sin, said the law, must not be held against the son. And when blood was spilled, this law refused the feud. Galanas: the killer's kindred paid the life's worth to the family wronged, and once it was paid, the vengeance was over. By law. Across the border, a wife's property passed to her husband. For centuries yet. ⚔️ Then Edward the First broke the Welsh princes, and in 1284 the Statute of Rhuddlan swept the criminal law aside. But in the farms and the families, Hywel's law held on, for another 250 years. Then the Acts of Union under Henry VIII outlawed it altogether. English law became the only law in Wales, and English the only tongue its courts could speak. 📜 After nearly 600 years, the Law of Hywel was closed. But a parliament can close a book. Not a memory. Around 80 of the old law books survive, copied hand to hand, the oldest made 300 years after Hywel died and still carrying his name. Today that name stands over hospitals across west Wales. 🏛️ Britain remembers most of its kings for their wars. Wales remembers this one for his fairness. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ A woman's worth was written into law on these islands over 1,000 years ago. The Acts closed the book. The idea reached you anyway. We are the home of British heroes. There is a place for you in it. 👇🙏 👉 👈 Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

After cheating, she thought she could buy her way back into his life, but unlike most Nigerian men, he stood strong to his principles. Nigerian men forgive cheating women on a normal day for free. Now imagine his woman bought him a PS5 as a form of apology, I can bet you that he's going to tell his friends that he has the best girlfriend in the world. That's how foolish an average Nigerian man is. When you put a price tag on your self-respect as a man, you have simply sold away your dignity. She'll disrespect you at any given opportunity because she knows how to get you back. Always remember; She's not sorry because of the act but because she was caught in the act. She placed a bet against your love, trust, manliness, and self-respect, hoping her tears would make up for it if she eventually gets caught. Never accept a cheating woman back.

KIDS: Logan Stankoven is 5'8". I get asked a lot how a smaller player can advance to the higher levels of hockey. This clip is a perfect example. To be a smaller player, you have to have what I call "Little Man Syndrome". An off the charts compete and belief in yourself that it doesn't matter how big the player you go into a battle with, you're coming out with that damn puck. Check out this effort from Stankoven that completely changed the game for the Canes last night. It's a lost faceoff but he single-handedly, through pure will, won the puck back and scored. Amazing determination. Stankoven also played four years of junior hockey. Three of those years he was a captain on the team. To be a smaller player - your IQ, compete, and intangible leadership and life skills have to be off the charts to achieve this level of hockey. Logan Stankoven is a great example for all smaller young players with a dream.

Marshawn Lynch says he asked for Russell Wilson's phone number, but Russ called him from a blocked number “I had a situation. We were playing against Tennessee, and their secondary wasn't good. We were supposed to throw the ball for 500 yards or some shit like that. Russ didn't have the game that he wanted. After the game, I did pretty good, 2 tugs, 150 rushing, another 50 receiving” “I reached out to our player personnel dude and was like, ‘Hey man, let me get Russ' number. He said, Alright, I'll call you back.’ He called me back like, ‘Did you get a call?’ I'm like, ‘No.’ He was like, ‘Russ just said he called you.’ I'm like, ‘No, I got a call from a blocked number.’ He was like, ‘Oh, that's him.’ I don't know if he blocked it or how it worked. I just know I got a call from a blocked number” “So when I call back, I'm just like, ‘Hey bro, I'm calling you as a teammate. I'm telling you straight up, I'm calling you on some real shit.’ I think this was the first time that I actually tried to have a conversation with bro. ‘I know you didn't have the game that you wanted to have. That's what I'm here for. We got to be there for each other. I'm here for you. You here for me’” “His response to me was kind of like, ‘What the fuck...’ So I told him again, ‘No bro, I'm letting you know, I'm here for you. We gonna rock, you know what I mean.’ His response was the same. I mean, we on the same team, going for the same goal, and this was how you chose to respond to me”

🚨Roy Keane BLASTS Michael Carrick and Bruno Fernandes after Manchester United 2–2 draw against Everton: 🗣️Keane: “That was embarrassing. Everton didn’t have to produce anything special; United handed the game to them. The defending was all over the place. No communication, no aggression and nobody taking responsibility. Shambolic.” “Bruno Fernandes’ leadership must also be questioned. He’s the captain, but when the team needed someone to take control, he was nowhere to be seen. A Manchester United captain has to demand more from his teammates. Disappointing…” “Carrick has to take responsibility. People like him because he’s a former player and a nice guy, but this is Manchester United, we’re talking about results and standards. He got it badly wrong again. I’ve said it before: I don’t believe he’s the man to lead this club back to the top...” #EVEMUN
