Not everything has to be a souls like. I feel every action game in the past 3 years gets the souls comparison even if it's not a souls game. Give me DMC or GoW experiences.

Hell is Us impressions after reaching Act 2. + Fun exploration + Actual puzzles with no handholding + Art design + Soundtrack + Atmosphere + Fleshed out world + Deep lore and NPC backstories + Great voice acting + Customization with tons of abilities to choose from + Enemies stay dead - Disappointing combat - Lack of enemy variety - Easy to get lost with no map, especially in dungeons so be aware Overall I'd say the good outweighs the bad. I appreciate the fact that they took a risk and it definitely stands out as a result. At $50, pricing is also reasonable for a AA game. If any of this interests you I would recommend it!

(IGN First) No Rest for the Wicked is more Dark Souls than Diablo. 👀 • Combat is deliberate and tactical with a health bar and stamina bar. • Goal was to make combat feel less spammy than traditional ARPGs. • Boss fights. • Wide variety of weapons (daggers, hammers, bows and more). • Each unique weapon can also have different stats and enchantments to set them apart. • Each weapon has different runes which unlock combos. • Cook food BOTW style for heals. • Instead of mana there's a Focus meter, which increases as you do better in combat. • Every class uses Focus for their special abilities. • Gameplay showcase coming March 1st.
