That movie had grit, heart, and perfect pacing.

"Elmore Leonard meets Nabokov, Michael Crichton meets Vonnegut, Carl Hiaasen meets Joseph Heller. And it has what is probably the best gunfight in literary history."

The tension of the wild west, swallowed by gas stations and debt. Every frame aches with nostalgia. 🫶

Even with that plot hole you can drive a truck through?

We don’t talk enough about Hell or High Water (2016). A gripping, character-driven neo-western that lingers long after the credits roll.

Hell or High Water is my favorite Taylor Sheridan screenplay. This film gave us all-time performances from Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine, & especially Ben Foster. I need to know why Ben Foster isn’t in more films. Regardless, Hell or High Water feels like everyone at their best.
